If we talking 2v2 then. I would like a Zerg as a teammate, and i would chrono boost his hatchery to get a fast queen and chrono boost his queen`s eggs to get a super fast zerg rush.
For the brief time that I did get to play the beta, my strategy was something along the following.
TVT:
If FE possible, FE. Make your barracks land in some discrete position, make 2 rines and capture the light-up thingies.
Tech straight to double starports, (adding a tech lab to fact same time you add to starports).
Pump out some banshees and have fun, adjust banshee number as needed.
After you hurt (hopefully) the enemy, i usually make tanks/marauders. (adding on barracks/facts as i feel) and move out.
If you can't FE, make 1 starport, do the same, basically, then expo. :P
TVZ: I've played this MU twice, and the second time more successfully, perhaps.
I just build a second barracks after i put gas down (after first barracks) and built a tech lab, made 3 reapers, and did some quick drone harass. After this, i started doing a combination of Marauders, Marines, reapers, medivacs, etc.
Im also gonna try a Backdoor, perhaps teching to warp prism witha bounch of gates, then drop a loads of zealots, and a a few stasifyers.(dependent on what he does in his base ;)
When I play terran I tend to go heavy infantry build. quad rax with 3 tech and one reactor. 3 ghost acads for nukes, and 3 starports (1 reac, 2tech). I like to harass/control map with reapers and vikings, and use rine/maraud w/ medivacs as main force. I think blizzard did a killer job with changing up ghost strat. Use nukes alot, they're very usable now. It usually works really well, but thats only against comps :/
GUISE, in the wake of all these "new" strategies (ie. Mothership rushing, planet fortress) i've developed my own unorthodox zerg strat
kk here goes: overlord queen (asap larva boost=all to zerglings) lots of drones (liek 14-18), all to mining spawning pool lair moar overlords (you should have around 30-40 zerglings by now) research overlord speed asap nydus network sneaky an overlord to back of enemy base nydus worm profit???
most zerg strategies focus on roaches since they are sooo OP....i tink blizzard will nerf them soon. my strategies: TvP:make some def then reapers, kill their economy,do not let P get to colossy or ur fucked TVZ:many many many baracks with reactor ZvEverithing:roaches pwn :P PvP/T:economy 2 waygates overcharge them make 4 zealots and kill economy havent tried the rest out yet
If things are still going, I've usually begun a factory with thor production by the time reapers hit their base (or get owned).
Also, if I'm up against Zerg (sometimes even Protoss) I blockade the entrance so they can't rush me. And again, if up against Zerg, I make sure I have an Engineering Bay up after reaper production is strong. This is to ensure turrets if I need them.
So far I've yet to even want to build a starport, unless I need dropships. I've seen Marine + Dropship combos work well, and they can decimate my thors/reapers. Seems Thors + Tanks are about all you need though.
Terran build (prefebly against zerg, heavy tech build for toss)
- Single/Double barrack BOTH with tech labs for pumping out Marauders. - Then i go for double factory, 1 with tech 1 with reactor for helions. Research the Helion upgrade. - Pump out marines, marauders, and helions. - Meanwhile, go for double starports, both with techs, go for banshees and 4+ medivacs (2~4 for healing, rest for dropship harrass with helions) - Harrass with helions, you have a reactor which can build helions just as fast as they go down. - If your helion harrass + marauder backup + banshee + dropship helion harrass doesnt work, i go for full tech build, i.e. thors and sieges + nukes.
Zerg build (prefebly against terran)
- Spawn pool, then straight for the natural expansion (if there is one) - Get about 6~8 zerglings - Scout with Overlords, keep them at a distance where they can't get harrassed by marines or stalkers, but close enough so they have enough vision to foresee an attack - Lair upgrade - Make overlords spew creeeeep! - Hydralisk den - Pump out hydras, remember to keep a few overlords + 1 or 2 overseers for invisible units. - Upgrade hydralisk - Get evo chamber, and upgrade ranged attack, by now you should be looking for another expansion - Get infestation pit and spire - Upgrade to Hive - Upgrade spire to greater spire, meanwhile you want to go for corruptors, remember all this time you've been pumping out hydras, don't stop production. - Get about 7 corruptors make 3 of them broodlords. - Make the hydras attack from the front with 2 corruptors and the brood lords + 1 corruptor from the back. - If all fails, retreat and go for ultras
Theres my 2cents about my strategies ><. Didn't really bother with protoss even though their pretty cool. (Cbb to make one unless someone really wants it) I know it doesn't really take in all the variables of rushs, harrasses etc. But it's the general concept i play along to. ^^ Hope it helps
So what are your strat going to be when the game comes out, im gonna test out the Planetary rush, and Zerg rush.
and then play some defensice Terran, while slowing expanding. :D
Warpgates with a possible backdoor pylon :p
2v2 with the pylon in the allies base.
It seems to be the most effective way to reinforce your team members.
Which usually helps ensure victory.

Haven't played it. :(

I wanna try a mothership backdoor now with massrecall :)
I liked starting out with Reapers and then go towards Banshees, base harassment all the way :P
With Protoss a Dark Templar Warp Gate build was fun but pretty weak early-game.
Bunker rush!! For sure.
I use the mass warp in tactic mid/late game with many colossi, stalkers and zealots.
Late game I use templars to deal with enemy swarms.
----
Zerg I go for roaches asap, and preform a rush.
Then go for burrowed roaches to see if I can preform economy damage.
Then it's all Hydras from there.
----
I don't have a tactic with terran, that is I haven't experienced them enough.
Yeah, DT warp gates are pretty useless. If T they will have a scanner by then, if Z they will have overlord upgrade when they see the pylon go up. :P
Roaches + 4 hydras and burrow/moving roaches in worker harras FTW
Doh i even can't spell all those wierd titles of buildings in SC

Terran
Nothing but Reapers and Hellions
Nitro for the Reapers (crazy speed)
Infernal Preignighter for Hellions (+16 vs Light)
Kill units with reapers and hellions. Demolish buildings with reapers D8 charges (30 DMG to buildings)
SilverPotato: I can't imagine that being good against heavy units
Zerg will use roaches.
Protoss will use Colossis
Terran will use Mauraders
Fair to say your tactic is very easy to counter
hmm, well I would have to say my strategy changes with every map that i play...
UMS FTW!!! lol
on start 10 drones and overlord then another 3 drones and going fastest roaches
most zerg strategies focus on roaches since they are sooo OP....i tink blizzard will nerf them soon.

ZvEverithing:roaches pwn :P
PvP/T:economy 2 waygates overcharge them make 4 zealots and kill economy
havent tried the rest out yet
yeah, roaches are too strong in early game

iD tend to play Dynamically, Altho ive begun improveming my Micro/APM,But Yeahm,Orbital Win-Mode :D
