Nibbits was built by David Cramer using the Django framework (which is Python powered), and driven by a MySQL database server. It runs on the Apache web server utilizing mod_wsgi. It renders via the Jinja templating engine, and several other libraries which are open-source.

Map generation for the StarCraft section was done by Forrest Voight and relies on libmpq and several Python components.

WarCraft 3 maps are parsed using libmpq and a custom library, as well as a thumbnail generation tool, both written by David Cramer. Hosting statistics are generated by a custom gnome bot created by RichardNixon.
