ok..i was done patching (patch 9) and everything seems good but NOT!!! when i started the game, i saw no units, no buildings, just the fog of war!!! wtf!!
plz help me.. i keep looking in the internet for solutions and it seems only a few people has this problem ( based from what i've seen, only a few people are asking about this in forums)

if you try to play with launchers its normal everybody have this and you must wait for new launcher to com out but i have no info for online problems

I have the exact same problem, and I can't even normally launch the game (w/o any launcher, from official exe)!!!!!
I think the problem is that the allin1 launcher replaced the patch.SC2Archive under versions\Base15097 with an outdated one, hope they can fix this soon~~

Guys, you missed the memo to wait for a new launcher before updating huh? Lol!
Anyway, to fix it, go into SC2 directory, look under I think updates or versions, you'll see folders like Base15097 will be under versions if u downloaded new patch. Cut this folder out of here and put somewhere for backup, or just delete for now, and your game will be version 8 again I think. You should be able to launch again.

So what is the final answer is there a patch 10? is there a launcher for it? because i have the final update this problem persists. I can't seem to find a solution for it not even with FootMan2k's sugestions.

Mr Voodofreak.. i can play with patch 8...just use zoxc's launcher and select a 14803 patch..u can play..:)

There IS a patch 10, fixed a nasty bug.
NO launcher can get you into the game with patch 9 OR 10, YET.
(of course, you can still play with a Beta Key, which is now THE hottest thing on this planet)

Thank you for the fast answers. I am on another problem now, although i manage to throw a couple of AI skirmishes i decided to try some mods like Star Defender, also tried FMP by Yoshi and Little survivor. I loaded them with Lazy GUI which was a total fail i got "Unable to load map" at every one of them. They seem to have loaded with lazy launcher without GUI but they do not work, there are no waves of enemies the skills have no hot-keys no description and the maps are also incomplete- missing units heroes etc.
It looks Like We do not have a soloution to this problem? I am really want to play the patch 9 or 10.
I have updated to patch 10 and when i launch 0.28 beta launcher, it loads but then all i see is fog of war...
is there a way i can switch back to patch 8 with out reinstalling and downloading patch 8? - i dont think i can just delete the version folder file as switching the version to load from the beta launcher to lower base did nothing. I believe other files have been updated in the SC2 folder,
so my question: is there a quick work around to go back to patch 8 or is there a laucher that works for patch 10????

Well Mediastoner try changing the launcher, i went for laze launcher with GUI cause it lest me adjust the version. I suggest to uninstall the beta launcher first, also my lazy launcher version setting is 14803.

I had major issues with patch 10.
1. It did the infinite update loop thing
2. Broke with my launcher.
Fixes
1. reinstall sc2 and manually update sc2 starting from patch 1 and working up to the version you want. This works but is a major pain.
2. Let it update to version 10. It looked like a infinate loop but I left the computer running for about 40 minutes and it eventually patched to 10 without error.
So if you get it to patch to 10 but want to revert back to version 8 you need to rename two files.
the files are located in the
starcraft II beta\versions\ directory.
In here you will see folders, rename two of them
base15097 to base15097.old
base15133 to base15133.old
Now you can play version 8 with your launcher.
And if you want to play with the version 10 editor just rename the folders to originals.
This is much easier to do than manually patching each update.

Oh WOW you guys are great thank you so much! I figured i had to change these things but i was hesitating as i was thinking there may be other things to edit also.
I will try loading patch 8 using the folder change settings and the launcher 0.28 settings both for patch (8, or 14803).
If no luck I will try different launchers.
Anyways, If you guy hear anything new, dont be afraid to post back with the new info. It will be much appreciated!

ugh, im trying to patch mine to patch 10 (i didnt pay enough attention to the game to patch to 9) and i get an error, currently trying again after manually adding the updates directly to the folder, will report if an error has occurred :|

Hey, I had the same problem! I reinstalled the game and updated sucessfuly to patch 10(to fix error of galaxy file size). if you get loop, i think u can unplug your internet, then run the update SC2.exe. check the other forum about looping if it occurs.
After you got it updated to patch 10, you change the 2 folders under starcraft II beta\versions\ (thx to dredlock) and choose to load patch 8 (14803) from your starcraft 2 beta luanching program. I use "stacraft II beta launcher v28.exe"
It works as a solution to play the game now using patch 8 until a launcher that is updated becomes available.
I was wondering if their is a way to play online or Local area networks yet? (without a key ofcorse =D)
Oh ya, this "base\Mods\Liberty.SC2Mod\Base.SC2Data\TriggerLibs\MeleeAI.galaxy" problem is preventing you from updating and you don't want to reinstall, then you can you play around and try to get it to work.
Try renaming or moving the folders: base15097 and
base15133 and load from the 14803 patch(8) using a launcher.
I Just figured out how to play online with all the other users who have beta keys....
After installing and updating o patch 10,
U can use newest SC Allin1 launcher with newest (patch 10) And the game will work! (make sure you use an official New map as these only work with patch10)
However no custom AI work only blizzard AI. But if you start a game then click surrender it brings you to the menu of Starcaft Online.
Put in your battle.net account and you can start playing online with everyone else!!!!!! NO JOKE
Also this loader allows you to switch back to patch 8 easily for when you wanna use AI (starcrack).

I recently tried to make a brandnew battle.net account, to test this and when i tried to login using my account it siad SC2 is not acssociated to my account.
SO the trick is to have an older game managed to your account like WC3 or Dialblo2. These are the ones that i know of that work.
Playing online is so much better!
Also if you set it up like this(battlle.net account with WC3 or D2) you can Launch SC2 and login normally.
you don't need to start a game and surrender then to play online.
