for release middle version
if we unable to play with AI there is no point to release it, because difference between patch 8 and 9&10 is map editor(and little changes)
i know you know we can play and test new created maps with SCEditor but if middle version could run sc2 patch 10 in compatibility with patch 8 and AI7.02 it could be great version for release (something like selecting game version)

damn i am only with 5 hours of sleep but i think i found the perfect way to patch every patch with the AI, older and the new when it comes out.
what was bothering me was a way to inject the AI in the patches as i do, but also avoid the always increasing size of the file! this can be achived with a certain comresion, but the problem was it takes too much time
so pressing play and wait for example like 30sec in a fast PC without any progress bar was really a problem!
expect in the "bridge" version to see a delay BUT with a progressbar when closing the tool!
the "restore to original patch" proccess will demand more time because patch 9 and 10 was HUGE! more than 800MB! but this will be done ONLY during the Exit of the tool, in order to restore fully the game so those of you with B.net keys can play online!

got quite a large community out here;=) Respect! I am also waiting for your release and suggest to wait a few more days and take the time to focus on a stable quality release which all your friends will appreciate a lot, especially da noobs!=)

ok decision taken after latest tests and peoples opinion so guys i am going to release it Monday Midnight (GMT)
or a little earlier, we will see.
i repeat its not Fully comatible to latest patch but something is better than nothing i think ;-)

oh yeah i forgot, i added support for
(how we say that) other maps than RTS, like "contra" etc that you just want to lauche them without editing options (race,locations,ai,etc) it so it will be playable 100% ;-)
this will be a new GameMode option
that i havent figure out yet how to call it :P
we have Free For ALL, Team Vs Team, and? .... dont now, maybe "Custom Map" any ideas are welcome :)

Great work Vernam, cant wait to try the new patches tonight with your launcher! Ive been patiently waiting to update instead of get caught with out a reasonable way to play with everything not being ready. Main thing I am excited about is map editing. I love making maps, kind of like artistic expression on the gamers side if you have no knowledge of doing it other ways with other community made editors. I will for sure be uploading my work on nibbits. I usually map for the CnC universe of games, as I am an all around RTS gamers. Mainly been doing Red Alert 3 maps recently since its one of the more recent RTS games that have smoked the market. Starcraft 2 will for sure change EA's lead on the new age RTS market. Never have I doubted Bliz, and just playing to patch 8 while I STILL wait on a key has proven to never doubt bliz in the first place when they bring a new game out. Bliz has came a long way since the days of Warcraft 1 lol. I hope Warcraft 3 was not the end of the Warcraft series as RTS games, as I am not much of a fan for WoW. WoW is a good game, I tried it, I own it just like any other bliz game, but I just doesn't hold interest as I am not a huge MMORPG fan and not willing to pay a monthly fee for multiplayer as its like paying for a game... then if you want to play, pay for it over and over and over again, Diablo being the game I draw the line on with that.
Some advice on releasing the launcher tonight. Def make sure to have BOLD clearly stated instructions on the main page for atleast Win7 and Vista users as the two OS's have basically the same folder placements. It sucks to say for XP users, but they seem to be the ones with the most problems but XP = its time to update, the world has moved to bigger and greater things with Win7 with vista kind of being that little crappy stepping stone to get to win7, XP is and still is one of the best operating systems made to date, but two OS have been thrown out since and XP is nearing the end of support. Face it xp users, its time to upgrade, and vista and win7, Id recommend Win7 over vista any day, even though I am still sitting on Vista Ultimate x64 waiting to upgrade to Win7 Ultimate. I have been giving M$ time to completely get the compatibility with Win7 mostly solved. I have however ran Win7 on my laptop and love it. Its the greatest thing since XP. Just make sure and really get them instructions perfect and leave nothing out. So people can get things right, there is too much people with failures with this tool, and the only failure is the person who doesnt read instructions, or desire to troubleshoot anything on their own and come on here spamming the tool for the blame. Iv never had any trouble with Allin1. Good luck with the launch tonight! Best luck for everyone going to update as well!
Sorry for dbl post, I have got win7, ran out and said its time to move on! doing a format here shortly, So long Vista! Whoop Whoop! :) I have a link to DL the new maps for the recent patches. if anyone needs it for any reason! Good luck all on the update later tonight!
For some reason my install of vista, after 3 months of the last format, or less then format, the best thing to do is to install windows, and update fully, and then create a back up image of the install, with just the basic essentials installed like chat programs and web browser. Run that back up image, then you can reformat in under 10 mins and be back up and running :P My computer is running so sluggish right now, and my system by far, is not a bad system, its no longer top of the line besides my vid card, but it should not be performing the way it does. Win7 Ultimate here I come!

In the original starcraft, the setting was called "Use map settings"
"Settings Free" is somewhat misleading, but overall I like it and it is shorter.

@vernam7: TPS Third Person Strategy is what i think its called since the game really doesnt have first person that i have noticed, but more like the old Galaga game which is still classified as "Arcade" or "fixed shooter arcade game", which blizzard said is doable in SCII.
BTW i humbly await the newest release to test.

@terran LOL most def! The world has moved forward! lol I have no clue why anyone would be gaming on XP now days, except for computers that cant run anything newer since vista and 7 require more resources. XP is still great for many many things, and of course some games, even starcraft 2,but its screwin with the xp users heads on how to get this launcher to work right lol, mainly due to folder locations as well as hidden folders and structure. Which I noticed had caused a lot of havoc on the forum haha. No intentions of saying XP was worthless, rather then outdated to the point newer things are not workin so hot anymore :)
Dang verman 10 hours? haha Like i said ive been waiting patiently :) release it when its ready and after you got some good sleep!
