Sorry I posted this in the wrong thread, but I just copied and pasted into this one.
I installed the launcher the way you said to do it, I used this tool many times before but for some reason every time I try and load a map it says "I can't read this map! If it's a custom made map by you, you must have correct player properties, start locations etc, to be recognised as a compatible melee map!" But i tried over 20 different map. Is there something I am missing or only certain maps compatible with this tool? If so which maps would those be?
1) the maps if they are melle maps they are not made correctly, mean they do not have start locations and player slots open!!! you can do that from the map editor your self BUT that should be the map creator problem not mine nor yours!
2)there is a case you are trying to play a custom SCENARIO map, if you read the messege carefully i say to Set the game to "USE MAP SETTINGS" its the combobox under the difficulty ;-) and this will try to load your map, in the latest version i even try to fix map creators problem with localized values ans script errors, which again wasnt my problem, but i did that to help them and the users.
so make sure you have good maps!
The maps I tried were ones that were recently updated and uploaded and people said they work on your launcher, I am still confused on that matter.
read carefully our install guide, something you are doing wrong or is not setup ok in your system!

The launcher installed and everything, but when i hit the launch button nothing happens, it just sits there thinking for a second, then i am able to hit launch again and it still wont do anything let me know if u can help me thanks.

@ chris, well you posted in the right forum this time, so I will take the time to try and assist you.
The obvious first, have you read the manual?
Sounds like you may not have followed the correct installation procedure.
Make sure that the launcher is put in the correct directory, your starcraft install directory, no other instances of starcraft are running and that you have selected and customized all the map options rather than simply clicking launch on the 1st screen.

I've re-installed SC2 and your Allin1 like the how-to guide suggests (virus protection off, etc.), and it works fine up until I have everything selected and go to select launch to start the matches. It will bring up the SC2 loading box before a black box covers up maybe half of my screen (like when something needs to adjust res for a full screen program) and stays like that for maybe 10 seconds, after which is disappears and I'm back to the options boxes with the terran\protoss\zerg cursor (whichever random was going to load I'm guessing) and a few minutes later I will get the Blizzard Error Reporter and a notice from SC2 saying it's errored and that I should try again.
I'm not really looking for a "magic wonder" answer as I've seen them called browsing as many pages as I could in this thread, but I couldn't find anything much like it. I was just wondering if you've seen it before and have any suggestions on what to try next. Would re-installing the whole thing again work?
If it helps I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.

I would need to see a screen shot of what you are describing to try and think of why this is occurring.
Ten times out of ten the error is related to some installation step not being followed.
So if you want to take a screen shot of the error that would help.
Conversely someone else may know the answer.
Adster, your game most likely did not instal properly. Did you also run the instal as administrator?If not try reinstalling it by running the instaler as administrator.

there is some little things :
this map " StarchessBetaV107.SC2Map " have ingame /string/value/00000 Errors caused by localization (its de version i think)

and Auto-Repair UMS system would not work for this one (i just tested this one)
While My Documents is empty of maps , if i add a folder that contain only one map from tool
it doesnt show the map Although it copy map there , but it say no map in My Documents (its like this when i add bonus map as only map in My Documents)

ok terran58, the only one map Installed was a similar issue with the 1 map ready to be instaled, and i possible fixed half of the bug :(
i will fix it in next version, nothing critical for a hortfix right now ;-)
and about that weird custom map, i dont know i will take a look to see, what this map creator dude did SO different :P
anyway the auto repair UMS isnt a 100% solution, depends on how messy a UMS map is ;-) i cant fix something when the creator doesnt have English string in it :P

When you launch the game with an UMS map, the speed settings is ignored (always normal even if you've put faster) dunno if it's a bug or if it's normal :)

all settings are disabled on this option "Use Map Settings"
just default by map
but if you mean melee custom maps ..no its not normal
melee custom maps works with faster speed just fine
you can try it with bonus map "Episode I - Shelak Xel'Naga Vortex"

maps with .sc2map extension are not read even though I have many maps...
to be read by your launcher i have to change the extension from .sc2map to .s2ma... the bonus map is not read... like terran58's problem
i can load any type of map with launcher
try to reopen the launcher
and use "Add Maps From Folder" in tool menu and add your all maps from a folder
then see what msg it show to you?
before that anyone ask this here....

I tried to reinstall the program and the .SC2map files reappeared... another problem, when adding maps, there's another error message saying "The process cannot access the file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Galit\My Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Maps\Arid Waste.s2ma' because it is being used by another process" I tried to reinstall the tool and restart my pc but nothing hapened the message always pops up
@miguelgalit : look if the map is not opened in the editor or the game because it would be locked.
@Terran58 : Yup i was talking about UMS map (not custom melee) if it's a normal behavior could it be possible to grey out the speed box when Use Map Setting game type is selected, it's misleading ;)

i dont know whats block ALLin1 to access the My Documents in your system (maybe UAC , admin rights )
but anyway try to add your maps manually
i remember you had problems with maps in past!
you must test it with personal computer with all access (as admin) and also make sure of other security programs .
installing maps is not that complex :)
you must solve it for Always
Well based on what you and Cry said I'm just going to assume I missed something. I'll go back and reinstall it. Do I have to disable antivirus\firewalls when I install SC2 maybe?

I downgraded my OS from 7 to XP so it means that my problems on UAC is fixed. My problem is fixed via deleting Arid Waste that is causing the problem.

1)as terran said speed is ignored by default inUMS thats why we call it USE MAP SETTINGS! not launcher settings ;-)
2)the tool if the file has the right extension works really like charm, s2ma and SC2Map! make sure the extension is case sensitive and Correct!
about the allies and enemis start location i will update the change log later
My computer freezes during the game after installing the 13th patch. The monitor goes off as when you shut down your computer, but coolers are run + very loud (and scary ;) noise from the speakers. Reset button does not respond, you can only just turn off the power.
Win7 x64 Ult ENG, ALLin1 9.6.6.
