Huge Frame Rate Drop

  • All of a sudden my map has somehow got buggy. I don't know what I changed but here is the problem. Both in testing the map in the editor itself, and while actually playing my custom maps in battle.net with friends, all of the units are moving at a very slow rate. Were talking about molasses and not just moving but everything is happening at like 5% speed. I think it might be a frame rate issue. My map is just a regular Melee map. Please help. By the way its happening to everyone that plays it, all kinds of different computers and setups. My rig plays the game at ULTRA setting perfect.

  • Are you using any large doodads? Go through each doodad or bit or terrain, delete, test, and replace until you find the problem.

  • I think that did it. I actually figured it out on my own after about 5 hours of backtracking and trial and error. I had a lot of Doodads @ slightly larger size. I removed them and it ran smooth. Whats that all about, so I cant change the size of doodads or have too many.

  • Both having too many and having large ones increase the amount of memory needed to run the game, which may slow it down.

  • How many frames you have normal?
    Btw I have 77 FPS on Mid-high on HD 720p btw you play online or off?
