for some reason everytime i run the game it doesn't update itself...
any ideas how to update into 1.0.1? the blizzard updater log says i'm on 1.0.0.16117 currently
I'm pretty sure that 1.0.0.16117 is not the most recent patch. Don't quote me please, but I'm pretty sure. As for updating ur game, I don't see why it doesn't update automatically when starting up the game. Mine tried to yesterday, but I stopped it and still the game loaded just fine.
just tried running the game again, it still doesn't update itself to 1.0.1... :(
oh well not like it's a huge deal anyway since 10.3.3 still works with my version

dt2 so everytime you run your game you close the updater or what?
the problem is that the updater doesn't seem to be working, so for now it is all right, but what if blizzard releases a big bug fixing update (for example) and i want to update to that version, i won't be able to because it can't update in the 1st place
so basically the choice to update or not is mine and thus the updater should work 1st
If Blizzard releases a patch it's most likely them trying to effect the pirates. I played through the entire game and never once encountered any sort of "bug" so I say if it isn't broken don't try to fix it!
And yes I close the updater when I play, but I beat the game so I've not played it since. Waiting for the next expansions because the ending left something to be desired.
