i have SC2 beta 0.19.0.15976 and i play with starcrack (some of you might poke my eyes out saying to buy the game...but to put it bluntly i don`t want to buy it(high price)and i don`t have the money)
i recently downloaded new maps from here but the problem is that whenever i run the map it all goes black...i can`t see the terrain. the rest of the objects are visible.
i have some older maps that works on the beta but the ones that came after the SC2 release will show like i said above.
i looked on them with the map editor and it shows me multiple invalid doodads so i`m guessing i have to update something
are there any patches/updates that i can get to fix that?

First of all you can not run the maps for the released version of the game since Beta does not have a complete Galaxy Editor.
And second if you want to stick to beta version then I suggest downloading beta only maps.

Anwer: No.
Buy the game, the beta is old news man, and when the patch comes out to nerf T among other things, you're going to want to be playing the most recent version so you learn the game with the new changes...
If you can't buy it right now, download it somewhere, look for a torrent on google or whatever, and crack it.
Don't ask me how here, I'll tell you it only takes a slight technical inclination to be successful..

I'm an SC2 newb and a BW advanced modder. Help PLZ - installed SC2, then I go: single player - start new game with AI - and it shows me there are no maps though I have about a hundred of them from Nibbits:) (thanks!!!). Please, will reinstalling the game help?
1.download sc2allin1 tool and GreenTea ai
2.copy Greentea ai to ai folder.
example:
C:\Program Files\StarCraft II\SC2ALLin1\ai\GT AI 0.57
3.and run sc2allin1 tool
4.SET AI diffuculty to Insane

You can not select custom maps within the game unless you have recently played it, it is very popular or you have uploaded it to bnet yourself. Yes, the system sucks.
