So basically, my problem with the keytro should be fixed with that HoTS registry "workaround". And if I do a clean install using the Blizzard download client, log in, exit game, disonnect internet, copy cache 2.0.4 files, run HoTS registry file, start game and enter into offline mode, it should work, right?

No. If you connect to bnet, you will irreversibly get to 2.0.6 and you're screwed.
There is no way to reverse back to that glorious 2.0.5 which is what we're all struggling here.
I just connected to bnet multiple times with my previous instal and it stayed at 2.0.5. I have installed this multiple times today trying to get this to work, and I never once let it update to 2.0.6. My ONLY problem was gettin that damn keytro to work.
JoeIf that helps understand Here is a screen shot of all the files that got modified in my intallation today.
N.B. I have a fully licenced WOL edition. And ignore the Base24944.rar it is a backup of the folder I made before doing anything.
Is there anyone with a still working copy willing to compress just the files modified in my screenshot into a .zip .rar or .7z to let me test if that wold work? I will report back I promise.
I used two files to instal the game (not at the same time of course.) One was the StarCraft II Heart of the Swarm (previously misspelled as Storm) torrent on Piratebay. The other that im using now is the download client from bnet. The torrent file WAS working earlier, but I couldnt get that keytro to load properly. Then after the workaround came out, the torrent file wouldnt connect to bnet to save its life. So now im trying the download client straight from bnet.
And you know how it lets you "PLAY" before its completely done installing. I have been doing this all today and Im at the point in which I dont care anymore, I just clicked play and it took me into the menu screen, and at the bottom it still said 2.0.5.
basically its use game version 2.05 and use some username generate program to create your userfolder, so you doesn't need to go online the first time in order to create ur userfolder on ur computer.
Don' know if that's a reply to my request but it does seems so, Than thanks I don't see all the needed files yest but so far it seems to be what I need. then tahnks onece all is available I will give it a shot and let everyone know.
I finally got it to work to downgrade 2.0.6 to 2.0.5 with offline play and everything. Please stay tuned. I will post a solution as soon as I prepare everything. Thank you :)
EDIT: Please do not update to a next version and stay at 2.0.6. If you're already at 2.0.5 you're good :)
LOL. You're welcome but that's not a proof.

My version is still at 2.0.5. I have not updated to 2.0.6, hence all the ridiculous comments retaining to that version.

lol. i was about to post images too, but then i can't link images here but here are images anyway:
here are the post mission screen, achievements of course are disabled since this is offline play:
I think the only solution for 2.0.6 at the moment is to download the 3DM release of the game, which is 2.0.5.
It's going to be another 12GB, but it may beat waiting around.

I just need a straight up yes or no answer to the following question. Is the HoTS registry "workaround" file a direct fix for the keytro not working?
74.110.178.xxx
It looks like the retail version of the game isnt getting that 2.06 patch because I am reinstalling the game again and its still at 2.05.
I'm going to use the save game posted earlier to play the game until a workaround is found though.

That 43mb 2.0.5 patch is legit but WILL NOT WORK because it only patches from 2.0.4.
You have to manually download and manually install 8u3748374 patches from 1.0.1, and even then it probably won't work with the HOTS conflict.
Don't waste your time.
68.37.138.xxx
Actually, there were only some 22 or 23 patches so it is totally doable, that is, reinstalling the game and patching manually up to 2.0.4 or 2.0.5.
