In my experience yes. It only looks for a connection at startup. And probably if you try to access the social networking functions in game.
I only disable the connection at the start and then turn it on again, and it's fine. But I'm not sure if that's the case for everyone.

I have an amd fx-6100 cpu, and the same happens to me (license gets deleted). I tried to disable all the power saving stuff in the bios, but that didn't work, so don't even bother, just wait for a scene release.

The same with amd fx-4170, so maybe it really is the cause... worked perfectly on my old notebook... unfortunetely, next scene release will probably be just another license generator, since they seem to care about not altering the game files way too much...

Thank you commander Smartass. I appreciate what Vernam does. U are just another idiot calling us retards for not being able to play the game. Obviously something is WRONG with the keygen and thats not our fuckin fault.
To be honest i cant expect much from someone who even messes up his own nickname.
I'm sending the file to downgrade 2.0.6 to 2.0.5 version ITA tested and working thanks to the work done by Vernam and logically to me Diablo1981.
I'll put the link tonight. I hope to do something pleasing to many! PS: These files include the version "en-GB", "en-US" and "it-IT"

I agree with Dari, I appreciate Vernam, and wrote my problem here hoping he or somebody here can help. I have installed the game on other computers without any difficulties, the problem is with this specific computer... also, this is long term problem for me, since the keygen has never worked on this pc (had it since about patch 1.4). Worst case, a year or two after Legacy of the Void I'll buy complete edition or something cheaply on sale...

Confirmed - I've swapped a 6300 with a 955 on another machine and I worked first try so the keygen does not work on either buldozers or visheras. Anyone knows of a virtual machine software that supports selecting the cpu to emulate ?

screw this bullshit, just wasted few hours of my life and it still doesn't work - I'll wait a few days for a decent crack to come out. Skidrow doesn't suck - but this surely does.
I created an account just to thank you Vernam. I am already finished Char missions. Follow this simple steps, it works :
1. Create a BattleNet account and download SC II WoL starter edition.
2. Wait until it's fully patcher (2.06). Login into the game, and finish the first mission. Check remember account name!
3. Now, quit the game, turn off the internet and start the game. Try to launch it offline, it will tell you that you can't play offline with starter edition.
4. That's great. Now, start the keygen, after quitting the game & turning internet off. Wait until the gears with (wings of liberty patch... blabla) show up. Press f2 ONCE! ONLY ONE! and then wait for "SKIDOW SUCKS" message. It takes some time, depending on your computer. Sometimes, you need to re-do the keygen thing, it doesn't works from the first time.
5. Launch the game again offline to confirm that razor's license generator worked. Game should now allow you to enter "OFF-LINE" mode.
6. Replace Updates and base folders with the ones you downloaded from the first page.
7. Now download and copy over the gamesave file (Heart of the Swarm Campaign) also provided on this tutorial.
8. Always turn off internet before starting the game. You can turn it on while playing missions, it will still work. Never but NEVER start the launcher with internet, or you must re-do the steps.
9. Click on Campaign. Then load game. You should be able to see the Heart of the Swarm gave save. Load it.
10. Once the game loads, you can hit F10, end the game and see the beginning cinematics (if you wish).
*Also, when you open the keygen, be sure that game is updated to the last version & internet and antivirus are off. Also, wait some minutes... it took me around 3-4 minutes for the skidrow message to appear ( and still it didn't cracked properly ) so I just opened the keygen again and again, and finally, it worked. Have a little patience and work on it, otherwise wait two-three weeks for someone to crack it or buy it.

its true i didn't made the keygen, if it was mine, i would already probably had the HOT version up and ruining! ;-)
if this is indeed a problem with some AMD specific chips, then it should also be with the regular Blizzard Starcraft game!
Razor team are not stupid. the way a keygen is created is like that
you are "debuging" and reverse engineering the program (starcraft 2)
you learn it from the inside out, and when you find the process that does the license, you are reversing it and you learn it!
then you are making exactly one of your own in a small program and you call it keygen.
now what i am trying to say is that, IF (and that's a big if) has a problem with specific CPUs then that means since this is a clone of the actual game mechanism, then the game it self has a problem too!
sure the razor team will look into it when, and i am sure that right now they are even reversing the new license to make a new keygen. i just hope its not a damn dos console application again :P
on a personal level the best think i can do is tell you what may be wrong with your methods or systems.
and i started few months ago decrypting the license to make my own and be Independent, i reached up to a good level around 70%-80% but its not 100% so thats not enough. if i had help and a LOT of free time eventually i would finish my reverse...but i have limited time. knowledge and skills is also something that if you dont have 100% you can learn it, but even that needs TIme!
the best think i can to Seriously is to see if its indeed a problem or not in one of your systems with a team viewer. but team viewer needs internet and we have to close internet to test the game....so it will be difficult, we have to do a good job in host file to stop the game from internet but not internet it self!
if there is at least one user, that is willing to try this with me on those bulldozer systems cpu, reply here and then i will PM you for the details.
Vernam, can you post my little guide attached to yours? It is more like "for total noobs-guide". It can't be easyer than that. If not, just try to adjust yours a little.
Use vmware - this way you can disable the lan adapter on the virtual machine and still have access to the host.
why should i use virtual machine? i just want one user that has the amd problem (as you say) with the keygen to connect and test it myself. why create an entire virtual system just for that! no need to waste time. i can block the game properly without closing the internet.
now thats if someone lives in europe and we can agree on a an online date to do that.
thats the best i can offer for that problem right now.
and i belive to have someone to do personal techsupport for a crack doesnt get any better than that! ;-)

Well, i had back up files from the original instalation so i replace the files 4 the original ones and start Vernam7´s steps all over again.
The error was no more. I can continue with the campaing, thou i really dont like what im seeing at all (hate u blizzard.

Hi, for those like me who couldn`t load HOTS save game with message "unable to load map".
The reason is although you have version 2.05, you don`t have HOTS patch downloaded (obviously because you were playing skirmish without internet connection). Solution is simple - let the game update everything to the latest version and then downgrade to ver.205 just like Vernam7 instructions on the first page says. And then you will see HOTS campaign on the campaign page in the game and the map will load.
