The Structure and Process of Flotation Cell

• Flotation machine (also called flotation separator) is applicable for the separation of nonferrous metal, ferrous metal and nonmetal, such as fluorite and talc. Flotation separator can be used for separating copper, zinc, lead, gold and other non-ferrous metals, and may also be used for separating of ferrous metals and nonmetals. Flotation cell can be often seen in ore dressing factory, which is applied for sorting non-metallic material, and which is one important flotation plant. And what's more, flotation concentrator can be used for sorting the metal material including copper, lead and gold. And flotation cell is also being called flotation separator, flotation machine andflotation-cell.

  The impeller of the cell flotation is driven by V-belts, which can bring the centrifugal effect to form negative pressure. While extracting sufficient air to mix with ore pulp, the machine stirs ore pulp and mixes it with chemicals to form mineralized froth. By adjusting the height of the flash board to control the liquid level, the useful froth can be scraped from the loam board. The height of the strobe must be adjusted carefully to keep the stabilization of liquid level and scrape the mineralized froth to the launder. The impellers and stators should be kept at a distance and should be changed when worn. The bearing in the pump should be maintained every three months.

  It refers to the flotation process in particular; the flotation process of every material is different, because some mineral material has the higher combination ability with the water, which is difficult to be above on the bubble. We must inspect and examine the mineral ore before selection, and ore much be classified by grinding in order to reach one suitable density and fineness of flotation process.
