Portals are now moved to subdomains. Community, Account, etc, are accessible across any subdomain.
Levels no longer offer perks (except it's still a requirement to be level 2 for private messages). We will be adding in a couple things that change based on level, but not real features.
There is now a virtual shop, which relies on the virtual gold currency. Gold is gained whenever XP is gained. This shop sells the features which were attainable via a level before.
The old Dashboard link has been replaced with Account. This is now a dropdown menu due to the way navigation has changed.
XP requirements have changed. It is now much harder to gain levels, and future contests will require much more XP per-ticket.
Hm, personally I think the level system is better then the gold system, but I can deal with it. Nice changes on everything else though. Edit: whenever I click on maps, or home in the drop down menu of maps, it sends me to starcraft 2.
I really have to say the legacy gold or whatever is really unfair, I have less than half the gold needed to purchase every feature I already had previously, but the system itself is awesome.
Levels are basically just going to enable more access to areas.
For example, the first change with levels I plan to implement is lesser restrictions on posts. Meaning, if say you're level 5, its a lot less likely it's going to say "Your post appears to be spam.".
Perhaps also add in a disable for the you can only post x seconds, or reduce it to five seconds, lol if your level >=6
and true I don't need to change anything just yet haha.
I'll think of some gold suggestions, first off the top of my head would be 250 gold for a month without seeing the google ads? I know that's where the revenue comes from, but just an idea. Oh and being able to unlock colored titles, and maybe purchasing exp lol? If I think of more I'll post haha
The exp purchasing and colored titles I can see happening. And do the google ads really bother anyone? There is only 1 a page, which i barely ever notice anyway.
I pushed out a lot of changes today:

When you mouseover the links, do you see it as sc2 or whatever portal you're on?
Also, gold was added so we could do other, limited quantity type things. The first is the "Feature Map" item.
Well, going in this link: http://wc3.nibbits.com/maps/
The url says that after I click the link, and mousing over the link it says that, but it gives me all of the sc2 maps.
Yeah I have the sane issue currently use safari mobile browser lol.
Just fixed the maps page. It was a cache issue.

Luckily, you dont need to purchase any of it unless you want to change something ;)
(I realize the legacy gold is a BIT unfair, but I didn't want to give out too much gold to the higher level guys)
Looking forward to the "other features" that you'll be making. Don't really like the gold system however.
Any reason beyond the legacy gold stuff?

I don't think it's a "bothering" issue, but just an idea, you know like brainstorming, throw out a million ideas and see which are decent
I don't see a problem with the gold, since XP provides it and a level.
The only thing of concern is the XP->Gold ratio.
In a geeky way, it's like leveling up to be able to use a weapon, and having enough money to buy it.
