  • Well the fact that updated maps get a rank boost is actually how it's intended. Otherwise you'd have maps that have been around forever (DoTA) that are hosted/downloaded all the time, and just dominate the charts. The goal here is to really refresh that popular list daily. Even if not every map shifts position, it should give the newcomer a chance :)

    Regarding ratings, that may be possible when we do the review changes. But the current weight for ratings (normal ratings) will be GREATLY lowered compared to review ratings.
