  • Actually launching the original starcraft 2 launcher will patch the game automatically. It does not contact blizzard servers for direct download but instead, uses torrents for easier mass downloading. Also, since you do not have to log into your bnet account to launch the normal game launcher, they have no way of tracking whether you actually have the game or have pirated it.
