no maybe iwasnt clear,
the sc2archive you see now will not exist this is ust for the beta thats why is version depenable!
i am modifying the Blizzards latest version Dynamically!!! not copying pasting files arround!
in the latest version there is some opy paste but will no be in the next release! now its temp.
sc2archive is HUGE in size! i cant in anyway creat files 20mb for each version!
thats why now i am perfecting my dynamic method of patching the AI with the one user wants!
also backing up the original files isnt that easy as you think!
because lets just say that the tool on lauche searches and creates backup of the original unmodified file IF its unmodified!
then you play a game and something happens and the tool doesntclose properly to restore the file!
the next time the process will berepeated the files the tool needs to backup will be allready modified and it will keep them as originals!! and the error cyrcle will not stop! people will complain that the ai is stuck to "this version" and cant play online any more and lots of issues that i have tested weeks before
so its not that simple as you say! hehe
there are lots of stuff that can go wrong!
the tool is not a microsoft os you know to demand 1000gb and do all sorts of functions, it needs to stay as small and light as possible and also flexible! play with all versions of starcraft and all Localization of starcraft as well! all those parametrs need to be taken seriously when i am making the Analysis for the software.
so to sum up, the basic common think all ai has is one! TriggerLibs folders!
this is the root! if i have those, i am able to create more dynamic methods of applying the AI to any sc2 version, if i have single sc2data files those will never work properly, and i amnot gona wast time for other teams AI if they dont care for them selfs.
btw i am implementing Keyboard Sortcut Editor. not only GridKeys but Total Free Editoing of the ingame sortcuts visually.
