  • Before 7.9.9, (the version that's only patch8 compatible), if I tried to launch a patch10 game, the map would load, but I wouldn't have any units. I would be looking at nothing but fog of war, with nothing to control. I could still access the new help menus though (the unit profiles, tech trees, etc.)

    Now that I deleted the old folder and installed 7.9.9, the map will not load at all. I replaced syk0's maps with the official patch10 maps, but it didn't make a difference. After pressing the 'launch' button, all I would get is a black screen with the SC2 pointer, then it would crash back into Windows, with the Blizzard ErrorReporter window open.

    I've changed nothing in my system settings between the launcher versions, so I doubt something's wrong on my side. Also, if I try to open the SC@ Beta Client normally, it crashes similarly. Either it's the new patch still being unstable, or the new launcher did something weird.
