try to run regedit.exe and open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Retail (Win7 x86 , if you have w7 x64 it should be like HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II Retail)
There should be records "GamePath" and "InstallPath" that contain patch to your sc2
On win7 x64 if you installed in default folder Game Path should contain C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II\StarCraft II.exe InstallPath should contain C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II On win7 x84 it would be nearly the same (only that there would be "Program Files" instead of "Program Files (x86)"
Check if at least GamePath has correct patch.
btw. editing registry can damage your system so don't make any changes if you are not sure what are you doing.
