Hello, I'm directing this comment at vernam7: I've read there is a project in the works of special benefit to owners of a "legit" copy of SC2, one to extend the trail period (I hope this means indefinitely!). I saw this somewhere on the boards but can't find the post anymore. Anyways, could you please see that it works with the enUS edition as well? It would be much appreciated as there was no other choice at the store.

if you find anything about this (i mean link plz post it) cause i really dont understand what exactly are they are talking about, if they are talking about something,
extend of what? offline mode period for ever? so what? crack can do that :P

I've been Google'ing for the post and still can't find it ... there was some talk in the thread about using a hex editor to change regions, if that's any help to you. If I find, I will link.
About those cracks ... I'm very new to SC2 and own the enUS edition, having no idea what will work and what won't, could you possibly recommend the off-line cracks to work with my edition?

Sorry about the confusion - I didn't realize it was that old. What got me on the search, and what I originally had in mind, was to change the region by using re-localizer program and applying enGB patch from Blizzard. So I re-localized (source: enUS, target: enGB) and ran the offline 1.3.6 patch. But the patch didn't run, spewing out a checksum error. So I had all but given up. It's a bit off-topic, but do you know why running an enGB 1.3.6 patch after changing the region using relocalizer would not work?
So I've downloaded the recommended file and will test it on my yet *un-patched* US version. Thanks for the link.

zerg_protoss, yes it is your post to which I referred. What I was trying to do was to change my SC2 region so that I could apply all those tasty-looking enGB- only cracks. But after running the re-localizer (linked to on these boards), any official update patches (done off-line) for enGB editions would fail since they still saw my setup as enUS. I was looking for a way to totally convert my retail (store-bought) installation into GB English but have had no luck so far. Needless to say, Blizzard was of absolutely no help.
I downloaded that new fix above and it seems to work fine so far, but I'm still curious to know whether I can truly change my region so the enGB patches will work with my SC2 installation.

care more than giving help to their loyal costumes...
nevertheless try to clear install patch the game and
then using the relocalizer
