  • I started at silver with the placement matches and slowly managed to work my way up, now balancing around the top 5 in gold but not getting promoted. Despite that, whenever I play custom games, I find myself either facing a completely new opponent or evenly matched, never had a complete walkover, so I havent had any issue with matchmaking. I do however, think that matchmaking in custom games is unneccessary. The whole point of matchmaking is to escape the leagues, if one wanted to play a game of his or her level, she would just go to play a league game instead. Having matchmaking ruins the purpose of it, even if its a less stringent version.
