As everyone may have noticed from joining a league, you usually get placed in a division based on your win/loss
5-0 - Platinum 4-1 - Gold 3-2 - Silver
and so on.
My friend and I lost one game and thought that the gold league was a good fit for us, as we've been in it every reset.
However, even with a 4-1 record, we ended up in Platinum. Soon enough we will hit 21rd in this division even though we didn't feel we fit in it, but it's just something I've been curious about.
"What determines your placement during the placement matches?"
Another question I've had lingering in my mind is how the system decides to give you a particular number of points during a matchup.
"Bonus pool and favoritism aside, what does the point system base itself off of?"
