Sys Specs

• I have a Pentium 2.0ghz / 1gb ram and the beta runs too slow to play with any degree of satisfaction.My graphics card is a pentium accelerator 128mb -I' m not sure how lame this graphics card is but I am thinking to enjoy the game, one would need 3.0ghz and 2gb ram and a kick ass graphics card.

• You don't need a killer graphic card.

  A 8800 GS would be enough to have pretty decent FPS and everything at high.
  At least, you'll need 512mb video memory. That's average nowadays.
  From what I've seen, the game uses the CPU version of PhysX (to be confirmed) so you'll need at least a monocore 3Ghz/2.5Ghz dualcore.

• Hey thanks for the fast reply. So my first problem is likely the memory re: graphics card and then ultimately overall processor speed.
  With my current specs it runs at the speed of a lagging b-net connection and all the game settings/graphics are on low or off.
  Fortunately a new box isn't so expensive these days and I already have a killer monitor.

  Ironically back in 98 when SC1 went gold I was an MCSE working in Dallas - we used to have LAN parties in my apartment and play Quake,Duke Nukem and SC for days.

  Since about 2001 Ive been out of the tech loop and my RTS skills are rusty. I can't win a solo game of war3 on bnet to save my life =P

  That nostalgia started to hit after a Battlestar Galactica marathon and seeing that SC2 was under development. Man I'm almost as excited as when SC1 went gold! (I pre-ordered my copy with the Zerg box and my roomate picked em up after work. We both took time off of work that week lol.

  Anyway - Ill stop with the longwinded narrative. Thx for the help!
