@iAgainst actually my son still uses XP and yes even plays SC2 on it with every launcher i could get my hands on, XP isnt outdated just no longer up to date with today's fast moving games, BUT doesnt mean it isnt usable for todays games, just gotta know how to tweak the OS just right and keep all .net and visual studio patches and runtimes up to date so really XP is still a beast for gaming, you gotta just lie the system to make it think its newer, which isnt hard to do at think about this, they lied to us with windows 98, what was that slogan again "Windows Just Got Better Then Ever!" LMFAO i still remember Bill Gates introducing win98, "People of the world i give you Windows 98 the FURTURE!", "Mr. Gates what exactly is that blue screen?!?"

i want to finish the small changelog now...and do the uploads this new version for bandwith reasons will NOT be available from within the tools update, only 1/5/2010 when my server's bandwith will reset you drink 100GB of monthly trafic in less than 10days!

how long till we can except to see this happening?? as in the first few Multiplayer games? and will there be a beta testing team if so can i be of help?

Before 7.9.9, (the version that's only patch8 compatible), if I tried to launch a patch10 game, the map would load, but I wouldn't have any units. I would be looking at nothing but fog of war, with nothing to control. I could still access the new help menus though (the unit profiles, tech trees, etc.)
Now that I deleted the old folder and installed 7.9.9, the map will not load at all. I replaced syk0's maps with the official patch10 maps, but it didn't make a difference. After pressing the 'launch' button, all I would get is a black screen with the SC2 pointer, then it would crash back into Windows, with the Blizzard ErrorReporter window open.
I've changed nothing in my system settings between the launcher versions, so I doubt something's wrong on my side. Also, if I try to open the SC@ Beta Client normally, it crashes similarly. Either it's the new patch still being unstable, or the new launcher did something weird.

and this is my feedback of 7.9.9beta
setup was ok
old maps with ver 14803 are ok
old maps with team setting with 14803 are ok (must turn off AV)
new maps with latest ver load but enemy just collecting minerals, thats all(this is only bug)
contra map load and ok with 14803ver but impaired with latest ver
created maps with editor ,load and ok with latest ver but when i select this one(topdownfighters.SC2MAP) shows error (startindex cannot be less than zero)but as i said i can play it fine
i can watch my old replays
i think this is what we expect

not a bug actually Blizzard A.I stupidity i quess.
"Map Settings" games like Contra etc are only working in 14803 because it was made for Those Versions!
the Map creators are still learning the tool,
i am positive that new better exploits will rise now that we have the Map Editor and the AI will get even better in the near future!
friend we have seen this and solved it few times in the past, just change your FONT DPI setting back to 100% not more! its your windows configuration issue.
Just played my first game, used the new launcher to load base 14803 and it worked flawlessly.
Great work on the new launcher Vernam.

we just had a catastrofic failure !
if you notice the download page was GONE!
i tried to update my tools images and everything was just deleted!
lucky for me i kept a brawsers tab open and i manage to copy-paste the main text!!

I launched new map and "A SCRIPT LOGIC ERROR OCCURRED FOR PLAYER 2 : INVALID MAINSTATE", so enemy just collected minerals.
If that inscription appeared, I don't think the problem is only Blizzard A.I stupidity...
about catastrofic failure - maybe Blizzard have deleted the topic?

we are not doing something illegal and specially we are not earning any money and they dont loose any, on the other hand they should thank us for spreading this game and advertise it ;-)
sairus in my first page i say load the game in latest 14803 version where the AI works ok with the older official maps! there you get no map script errors!

guys i just uploaded a new setup that will prevent the stupidity of some noobs that had install the tool to a wrong location to delete everything in that location now.
it will force to clean and install in its own subfolder!
so everyone had this done wrong in the past will not be doomed to manually extract.
so redownload the setup!

now i found the cause of the Script ERROR!
yeap Blizzard made an other change, and this time i think i can fix that my self and no need to wait for the new AI.
at least make the damn Blizzard AI work better ;-)
