I found in a forum a guy posted a way to use say latest AI 7.3 in a map, you just need to import the files in the map you like. Then you can start it through the editor. Ofc you may have to change a Player's race in the editor where you set Player properties but who cares. Especially if you make 1vs1 mapyou just set computer player and random, add AIs. Done, you dont need launchers anymore. This must have worked since Patch 9..
I didnt want to use launchers anymore, considering they were considered illegal. It feels better when now you can legally play the way you played with launchers. Im using AI 7.3 for my map and the best of all is, no installation, trojans, replace your whole SC2base.data file. This way thru editor is great.
Excuse me for being blunt, but if you intend to call launchers illegal, then you should know that attempting to modify any game files is considered just as unlawful.
On par with vernam7, if you intend to do something, then do it right.
The launcher does the same thing, only a lot faster and a lot more user friendly. Also the launcher does not modify any files in the blizzard client, but rather runs it's own in conjunction with blizzards.
Call yourself an angel if you'd like, but don't bother tooting your own horn if you intend to do something with the same results. Just makes you look stupid.

exactly my point! and because i am happeing to creat a launcher and frankly the only one arround still working and updated, my tool is not illigal because doesn Crack your game not hack files and it doesnt modify anything!(maybe you are using an other launcher months old and you say that crap, or you are just trying to promote your self as the jenious that though something nobody else did before!)
you are totally blind if you insist thinking what you are suggesting is Better! and the worst part is recomened to users that have no idea how to do something like that and actually make it work!
every time you wanna play a game you will modify your map from a huge software as the editor?? are you nuts?
i just cant go on with this is totally BS! as i said "dont use windows do it with Dos! why not? its the same and better - faster - easier in your world!"
Launcher says BG Editor! lol
This Business Is Binary. You are a 1 or a 0. Alive or Dead.-

Haha you cant compare Dos vs Windows in Edtior vs Launcher, that's BS. It's more like Win Vista vs Win 7. Both do the job, one just does it faster. Im not saying it is not faster with launchers but why need 3rd party and Blizzard sure don't like third party when you can do it the normal way? I h8 third parties, the AI is just a script not a 'tool' and tools bring no good to the game unless for mapmaking.
DrComethHi, as you know some have created launchers for those not in beta, also harder AIs. They banned me frm DarkBlizz and I dont care cause Im against hacks but I dont consider the launchers and AI as hax. So I cannot download any new versions from their forum.
Are you interested in following the best launchers and AIs and whenever there are new versions to have a sticky thread and link them? Example: Valkiries is the best launcher imo, link to its latest versions and not within their forum but links of MediaFire, also the same for AI and if any new maps.
It's pretty clear he believes he has seen the light, and is trying to clear himself of his "sin"
But the stale argument suggesting that Blizzard hates third party programs more than people editing their own client files is simply absurd.
There would not be any third-party programs if it wasn't for programmers playing around inside the sc2 client to change things around and synthesize their own files based on the source code. Absolutely no way, unless someone was psychic and knew exactly what the base code looked like.
If you do anything that changes the way something functions which was not intended by blizzard; then you break their policy, and you should know that your "anti third-party as a good samaritan" argument will never hold up in court if it ever came to that.
tl;dr: Stop pretending that achieving the same results via a different means will make you a better person, because you are honestly only fooling yourself.
