So I was wondering about the AI. I've never fought the AI yet (I'm speaking of the actual Blizz AI, not any custom AI). When I played a StarCraft game with more than 1 AI fighting eachother, I've noticed all of them had basically the same build, many times even same positioning of buildings. Is Blizzard's StarCraft 2 AI gonna be the same? Are all Terran bots going to have the same starting build all the time? Or is it randomized in some way? And if so, how many builds would they know?
While it is randomised in some way, the build differences are minor, with the AI usually going for a diverse build rather than a specialized one, so you probably won't notice much of a difference or be able to play against extremely specialized builds such as the ones in GreenTea AI. While I'm not sure if the AI will have any improvements at release, the campaign should add some additional depth to playing against it.
As the above post said, the changes are minor. The tech trees are pretty much the same, only some may delay their tech advancement and go for a tier one rush and then tech like the others.
It's pretty boring, and not so surprising to see the same unit compositions. GreenTea did so much better with their Ai, and blizzard screwed theirs up.
