because the license generator work with 2.05 version it't now (from about 3 hours ago) version 2.06 ,and we are waiting for new license
first off guys this was an offline guide how the fuck did you managed to update the game to 2.0.6 when you shouldnt?
anyway, to go back go to your starcraft 2 installation directory,
open the subfolder Versions and delete the folder after the fodler "Base24944" it should be a bigger number than 24944 i dont have 2.0.6 yet so i dont know the exact folder now but if you delete this and dont upgrade again you should be ok.
Wish I knew. I only installed the game a few hours ago. I assume it updated it to the latest version then.
I appreciate the help, but Base24944 is the highest folder still. Any other thoughts?

The second mission can indeed get stuck, so what? There is an auto-save after every mission. Close the game and load that auto save and you can play the second mission with no problem. Is this so hard to figure out FOR FUCK'S SAKE?

Anyone who was previously having problems with the Keygen, did yal figure out why it was crashing, because I can not get the keygen to actually start up. It starts up fine on my windows xp computer, but wont on my windows 7 computer.

I deleted that exact folder and launched the game with the internet disable.
You get a pop-up saying "Files are missing, please reinstall." And the game refuses to even launch.
Any help?

lol, I tried that too. Along with a bunch of other random things. Everything seems to have just broken my installation. To fix it, in the launcher (when you first start game) go to Help-> Repair Tool (top left corner). Should repair it...

i hope you kept a backup! we never delete something without back....
so place your backup back and then replace the sc2.exe in the base24944 folder with this one. its my 2.0.5 version.

There are no higher numbers after Base24944.
There are Shaders14513, 14515, 28914, 30985. But Base24944 is the highest number for 'Base'.

K I'm confused, the guide says to shut off my internet (I do it by telling COMODO to stop all traffic) but if I do that then I can't start the damn game.
It connects to the patch server every time I start the game and if it can't connect to it, game doesn't start so how the hell do I start the game with internet off?
If I have internet on, start the game up and turn it off again once that's all done, I can't play offline mode because it says I have to connect to battle.net to authorize and YES I downloaded the cache and deleted my old folder just like instructed.
And yes I ran the crack and it did modify the registry.
Btw, I had installed HotS over a cracked WoL that I got off TPB a year ago, well after its release date so I don't know the method used to crack it.
Also what does "8)Start the game from its shortcut normally," even mean? I don't see a shortcut, you mean the Starcraft II.exe in the program folder or the StarCraft-II-Setup-enGB.exe that you instructed us to download?
I have windows 7 x64 bit. I have .net 3.5.1 activated. I removed .net 4.0. I uninstalled my anti virus, which was norton. And I still have no idea as to why the keytro does not work on my machine. On my windows xp machine, the keytro tells me that my video card sucks and asks me if i want to run it in windowed mode. I wonder if my graphic settings on my Windows 7 machine has anything to do with the keytro crashing immediately.

Windows 7 is great with the exception of one feature: Compatibility. Microsoft FAILED EPICALLY in the Compatibility department. I cant list the amount of programs that have compatibility issues with windows 7 because its just way too long of a list.

It seems the Base24944 folder from Tom23 or just the .exe Vernam provided isnt enough to make a downgrade from 2.0.6 to 2.0.5... im getting now an error when loading the game.
Checked the "updates" folder and i think we would also need a "s2-0-24944-Win-final.MPQ" file or some other.
Damn installed the game 1 hour after the patch, so close.

I've tried that but it gives me an error saying you are missing files when I launched the game.
The Microsoft Compatibility tool states that this program is simply incompatible with Windows 7.

Sorry, I meant to say incompatible with Windows 7 x64 bit. Im talking about the keytro.
