from what I see constant disappearing licence with correct steps is the only serious problem here, I've tried too many times already, I give up, my laptop was always nest of some strange bugs etc.

Ok, got it to work!
Apparently bnet agent.exe has some kind of trusted privileges so it keeps adding itself as an exception automatically in the firewall rules.
So you have to actually create new rules for agent.exe in advanced settings to block inbound/outbound so it overrides the default settings.

Nilf, it seems that there is SOMETHING in the background of our computers, dunno what, but it's making licence staying impossible :( I bet that format would help, but I'm not that desperate

@Tezka you need atleast connect one time online to create a "character" after that you can play without problems, or just as Pedro say check that you put right your username/password
I have the same problem as theo and Nilfheimer, I followed all steps correctly, generate license with keygen, but when I run the game, the license gets deleted even though I am not connected to the internet and pc is in the same state as when I generated license...

It's probably something to do with the hardware key - same files , same order , managed to install it on two other machines.

Nilf - I've "installed" sc2:hots on my friend's pc without any problem, so the only things you can do in such situation as ours are format or w8ing for skidrow/3dm/etc crack

I'm reinstalling framework 4 here - maybe there's something wrong and the keygen can't modify the offline file. Doubt it will work but u never know.

Slight issue as there's a new error I haven't seen anyone else post about:
After you complete the Zerus mission in the HotS Campaign (7-8th mission), the game will give you an error about some files being required to continue.
You cannot continue playing without these files
I will try to mess with the files to see what's missing, but I'm not sure what else to do.

I've just registered to say "Thank you!" Working beautifull on Win8 x64. En-US version. I was / am only interested in playing the HOTS Campaign. Got it working on 3rd. I've used Acronis to backuup the moment when Starcraft II Starter Edition so that I can try it out w/ rapid fresh install (trial and error). Got it to work on the third try. Campaign working beautifully. Thank you!!!
Tutorial Works for EN-US version as well. I'm using it. Here's what I did (Fresh Windows 8 / clean install w/ all drivers on my laptop).
1. Download Starcraft 2 starter edition, create free BattleNet account.
2. Once installed (2.06). Login, play the game. Create a user profile and play the first mission on the starter edition.
3. quit the game. kill internet, then play the game once more. It will attempt to connect (click on cancel as instructed on tutorial).
4. Game menu starts, but it WILL complain that you CANNOT enter the game on offline mode for starter edition.
5. Kill the game. Now launch Razor Key Generator. Wait for the wheels to display then click on F2. If done correctly, you'll see the wheel turn to: "SKID-ROW SUCKS!!". Now press escape and exit the keygen (your're done with this)
6. Launch the game again offline to confirm that razor's license generator worked. Game should now allow you to enter "OFF-LINE" mode.
7. Replace (recommend deleting and copying the downlaoded version over) the Updates and base24944 directory. The file you'll find after downloading the 2.05 downgrader proviced on this tutorial
7. Now download and copy over the gamesave file (Heart of the Swarm Campaign) also provided on this tutorial.
8. **remember after the initial login, you should've remained offline (kill the internet all this time). Now launch the game once more. It intially gave me an error, but then then tried to connect to battle.net. Now you again press the 'cancel' button and get into the game. You'll receive a message saying you're now in an "Off-line" mode.
9. Click on Campaign. Then load game. You should be able to see the Heart of the Swarm gave save. Load it.
10. Once the game loads, you can hit F10, end the game and see the beginning cinematics (if you wish).
One more post. @Vernam7: THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your great work!
Although I was able to get it to work, I believe the confusion over the campaign mode was due to the overlapped instructions from steps 1-4 (5 for maps) then 6 and the rest. Many noobs may be confused by this.. I hope my steps (for campaign only) would clarify some confusion for the noobs here.. TYVM for your hard work. Much appreciate it!!
When i turn on starcraft II.exe i can't run game without a internet connection. Too same with SC2switcher

You need to connect to the account at least once. Then, re-do the trick with the cache, re-do the trick with the keygen and THEN launch the game without net. You will be able to play offline using the account you connected to the battle.net once before.
