AI mines but won't build

• Hi folks, new here. I am trying to create a simple single player vs AI map. I assign the AI control=computer, give it a command center with crystal, geysers and even refineries nearby, as well as a handful of SCV's, a bunch of supply depots, a barracks and a hhalf dozen marines. After letting the scenario run for a good while during which time I build up some zerg forces, I find that thhe AI has done nothing but build extra SCVs and mine crystals. No new structures, no other new units... in the interrom I've had time to build a well developped zerg base and create a large swarm.

  The only triggers in effect are the standard ones ('initialize map', 'Start standard melee AI', etc.). What do I need to do to get the AI to actually play?

• I figured it out. I was using the first 'point' button and assigning those points ass starting points, not realizing that the second button is in fact the starting points button. No flyover tooltips on those buttons so you have to actually click on each to realize that the first one is not the one you want. Well to this noob anyway... not the most intuitive interface I've seen but now that the computer AI is truly fighting back I'm a happy camper
