.SC2Map vs .S2MA

So I have a loader but it loads .S2MA and can't seem to load .SC2Map files. What do I do to remedy this?

try renaming .sc2map to .s2ma it work to see them but why would you want to use an old loader?

id try vernam7's all on one loader http://sc2.nibbits.com/assets/starcrack-allin1/

it will load both and for the "tricky" maps use the lazylauncher directly.

how rename .sc2map to .s2ma??

to rename them, if you can see the file extention, then simply rename the end after the ".", if you cannot see the file extention, go to folder options, view, uncheck the box that says hide extentions for known file types, you will be able to see the extention and rename them afterwards, although i would highly suggest just using the allin1 tool or the galaxy editor to open the sc2map files until the publishing feature is released.

.sc2map and .s2ma are working good with AllInOne tool form Verman7. May be you need to try it.

Im not sure why you want to do this. Cant you use the editor as a single player loader now? The map editor loads .SC2MAP. So use the loader for one and editor for other.

Loading with the AllIn1 tool is mostly for convinience and ease. The startup time is much shorter than the editor, which needs to loads all the doodads and editing tools and is also able to select both types of maps, in case you have a last second change of mind.

I don't like that loader cause it patches the SC client by contacting the update server from blizzard. I'd rather stay away from that. Guess I will just use the maps I have.

Actually launching the original starcraft 2 launcher will patch the game automatically. It does not contact blizzard servers for direct download but instead, uses torrents for easier mass downloading. Also, since you do not have to log into your bnet account to launch the normal game launcher, they have no way of tracking whether you actually have the game or have pirated it.

I have been looking through posts based around maps for nearly 2hrs & can't find anything related to this problem.

After loading SC2ALLin1, I select an Installed Map(have tried both s2ma & SC2Map) then set my Game Options and when I click on Launch I get a message saying File not found.

What does this mean & how do I rectify the problem?

File not found

this problem is for past versions and only with blizzard difficulty

latest version of ALLin1 have no problem with any map

just place maps in

\My Documents\StarCraft II Beta\Maps\

and locate them in ALLin1 it should work

or your antivirus deleted something.
