Test map: learning to make a basic TD
Might need the mod file for it to work (download link below)
Put the mod file in your sc2 install directory in the "mods" folder and then open the map editor and open the map then go to files - dependances and link the mod to the map.
If you downloaded the mod file for the old version you need to update that also
Here is the new link:

I know the map is extreamly easy. Im working on adding custom units and buildings, balance will come after I have more towers and waves in.
Im new to map making. I never map maps in wc3/sc1 so anything you see that I can do easier please leave a comment:) Or any ideas you would like to see in the map.
This is a learning experiance for me.

I kinda started over on a new td. Used what i learned and cleaned it up.

I still am going to finish the mod for it .. most likly remake it with what I learn from the new map also. This map loaded extreamly slow and the cannon animations were buggy. also like you said the tower killer guy was buggy.
In response, to Brent, it works as with almost any other editor map around, patch 10 compatible, im not sure it even works with earlier versions. As for the launcher, just use the galaxy editor that should be found in your starcraft folder if you have updated to patch 10.
As for the map, its a good start, horribly imbalanced but i can understand that your're still working on it. I'm not sure if youve patched it already but the block clearing mob was getting stuck behind the wave on afew of them, so one could theoretically get past half a wave before any blockages are caught.
Does this work with patch 10? Do we have to use a specific launcher? I am on Linux so my choices are limited.
Thanks.

Any good map makers try and make a weapon hit multiple targets? my 3erd cannon should but i dont think it is. Seems to hit the same target again instead of going to a 2end target for the 2end shot.
Like chain lighting not a splash.
Tryed to base it off a muta attack but must be missing something
Current map loads slow dew the the amount of doodads. Looking for a fix
ignore the other link

New map at http://sc2.nibbits.com/maps/project/74682/cronos_tdsc2map
I will be putting all the updated maps there
Ya when I started making it I thought oh cool I can put all the custom units in a mod. So I could put those base units in all TD maps I would make...
I thought the mod would be part of the map file after you add it. Sadly its not and you need both files to run the map.
Im hopeing the publish feature will handle this automatic. Im sure it will and the mod files will only be needed for the map makers.
One good thing about the mod file is it only contains the units actors and weapons I created so its easy to see the units with out all the base units blizzard has in there Lib. You can filter this with a drop down box in the data editor.
I got an error
'Dependency data could not be loaded.
Unable to load file (core: file not found): componentlist.sc2complents'
When I tried to load this map in the map editor.
...oh wait i see I need the 'mod'
