One Sunday afternoon last month, a hundred boisterous patrons crowded into Mad Dog in the Fog, a British sports bar here, to watch a live broadcast.
Half the flat-screen TVs were tuned to a blood-filled match between two Korean competitors, "MC" and "Puma." The crowd erupted in chants of "M-C! M-C!" when the favorite started a comeback.

The NASL Season 1 Finals will take place this weekend, from Friday to Sunday! If you want your chance to come out and meet your favorite pro gamers, come down to the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California. Tickets to the event can be bought online. $25 gives you access to the entire event for all three days.

The WCG USA website has officially been re-launched at http://us.wcg.com, and online qualifiers are now open for registration. The online qualifiers start April 25th and run through July 31st, directly qualifying players into the WCG National Finals. Registration for each qualifying tournament is limited, so be sure to register quickly to ensure your spot in the following events:

Due to the Dreamhack finals White-Ra was playing in, he apparently was unable to play his first NASL game in time, even after a long extension. Very unfortunate indeed.
We are sorry to inform you that White-Ra and July will not face off today and that July has been awarded a 2-0 victory for the match.

Personally I found this a very entertaining event. The audience was very involved (IdrA even has some very involved male fans), the commentary was good, White-Ra, wellThe NASL has finally started. The NASL will run from 4/12/2011 until 6/11/2011 and features the best players in the world.

The StarPlayers League is a regular league where everyone plays a fixed number of games against players in their division. Players of all skill levels are welcome to join. Divisions will be created based on skill level, so there won’t be bronze players playing against masters players.
