- Contest Reviews are Open
The contest is now closed for submissions and we have opened up the entries for reviews. Remember, 50% of the final score is based on what you think of the map. So head on over and check out the 100+ entries and let the authors know what you think!
Unsure how to review a map? Most of the maps that have been submitted you aren't going to be able to find online. Sadly, this means you can't test them out in a real environment. You'll only be able to test them out solo (sandbox) or against a computer player (using something like the StarCrack Launcher, available in our resources section).
Oh, and as an incentive, you will receive 12 XP for every review you post.

Well good luck to everyone. I'll be reviewing some of the maps, based on how well the map is put together.
Every one wants their map reviewed, so it will be best if a lot of people review, and they review a lot of maps.
That way every map gets an honest chance of winning :).
And remember one thing;
Don't place a bad review just because you want to win, but play honest.
You wouldn't want a bad review because of that would you?
GL & HF :D
Agree completely. We will remove votes and again, we make the final decision for winners. If we see you intentionally trolling other submissions to downrate them we'll simply disqualify your entries, and we won't count your reviews.
please note theres 2 maps called star of serenity, the reason for this is one version has been updated. one hasnt, its a minor change albeit but. unless i did it wrong, when i clicked upload new version i thought it'd relplace the older version but apparently not ;/
We'll filter out duplicates, no worries :)
gl to all
September 1st is already here? Wew
Good luck to eveyrone, I suck that i'm not a mapmaker.
How long will this review part of the contest take?
What if I update my map right now? Is it going to be updated on the contest as well?
i really had a good map
but its 9.1, so its too late
I'll be reviewing as many maps as I can over how-ever long this period lasts. Will also start at the last page and work my way forwards =)
Since I can't really judge "community impact", I'll review maps based on layout/competitiveness and aesthetics/detail.
Good luck everyone! =)
@Cry17
The reviewing part takes 10 days. Atleast, that's what I heard
I've reviewed probably 10 maps by now, and I've noticed a recurring trend that forces me to drop my mark for the map. I hope this doesn't make me look like I'm voting biased...! :S
We can't accept future submissions for the contest sorry :(
The reviewing process will last until September 10th (the community reviewing).
Python Remake v4 is playable ONLINE but only EU servers. so far the best remake i ever created! over 10000 downloads and 4 weeks on top.

I had a fun time playing this map.. did a short review on it too.
For what it's worth, I appreciate everyone who's stepping up to throw in their opinions about the contest, and it's definitely going to be noticed :)
I may be wrong on this, but didn't the rules of this contest state that all submissions are to be of league quality? That is to say melee - main bases with 8 minerals/2 geysers, expansions 6 minerals/2 geysers, and rich expansions on contested ground.
I'm seeing fastest possible maps, single player maps, and others that have expansions with large quantities of min/gas and non-contested rich fields.
If they're breaking the contest guidelines should they then not be removed from the list? There's some beautiful maps in this contest, but all these broken maps are clogging the veins of this competition.
It's like putting the contestants from the special Olympics into the actual Olympics.
I realize not all of these money maps look like money maps, but some are so obvious it is cringe worthy.
Well, personally I think it would make things go much faster if our beloved admins removed those maps from the contest that are breaking the rules.
I've noticed some of the maps that I previously reviewed no longer has my review attached to it, such as "Star of Serenity". Why is this?
...I don't see any point in doing anymore reviews if all of them just disappear.
Hmm, I think I'll do some reviews, got nothing better to do. If anything it will help me learn the map editor better by seeing what other people did. Plus it seems there are a lack of reviews...
Actually I think the reviews are there... since I made one review and I still got those 12 points means it is there... probably they are not yet visible or something went wrong...
And umm there is a minor problem in the entries:
Zaraki no Kenpachi (bleach...) map is 3 times there and that should be taken care also.
This includes other maps such as Space Hunters, Python, Volmountao and Star of Serenity. (not sure if this is all but you get the point)
We're currently not moderating reviews, so I can't see any reason for them not to show up.
However, Star of Serenity seems to have duplicate submissions: http://sc2.nibbits.com/contests/3/entries/119/
(That list is sorted by least number of reviews, so that people viewing the page find things that need more reviews first)
id like to say as for tournament standard, it didnt specify past 8 min 2 gas at mains. nothing for expansions etc.
so i figured id make every expansion in the same format of 8 min 2 gas, dont look at the comments and seen mine grouped into sentences with Money Maps, its definatly not.
as for my map star of serenity, i stated earlier i updated it and it uploaded a whole new version as apposed to replacing the existing one.
EDIT: keep the one that Frozenwolf reviewed. its the one i wanted to be.]
and remove the one that doesnt have a review if its casuing alot of problems. sorry for the inconveniance.
anyway its changed the size of the destructable rocks from the main to the 2nd expansion and moved them
Ohh alright I see how it works... back to reviewing then :)
Too bad there's no way to see the current vote standings... I think that would be useful information to have here for the community, even if the decision is only 50% ours..
