  • The AI seem to be running off of the latest patch, making them very stupid, they only pump out two units, then stop. I have tried running strategy AI(latest) and starcrack AI which came with it, same results. Any clues? (Or how do I make SCallinone run from patch 10) Other launchers seem to crash which loading SC2

  • @Normalcy

it seems you are new in here !

you dont need any extra AI installation for ALLin1(v9.6.6) just choose difficulty for AI and play(i can play any other AI just fine)

    and here is the manual

  • Technically new, but I know that part, but the AI on both the one that came with it sucks, or SC2allinone is broken. the AI only pump out 2 units and then just build random buildings and do nothing

  • did you choose other difficulties like "Hard StarCrack AI", because it seems you play only with "Blizzard Very Easy" diff !

did you see "starcrafty 7.03" msg (by red font) in start of the game ?

if not plz read the manual and DO everything correctly for installing safe ALLin1 !

  • Hey

Let me star off by saying thank you for a great concept you have brought to life.

I've already installed this launcher on by other computer running XP and works fine and 100% perfectly. However, when I installed the cache, maps and finally the sc2allin once I try launching the game it says file not found and then closes the launcher down.

Let me also say I have gave the launcher administrator access and installed the cache in two folders as this laptop is vista, not XP like the one it is correctly working on.

I have also read the FAQ and about 10 pages of this thread (39 is too much) to try find a solution for this problem. I believe it says this problem occurs because my firewall and/or anti-virus is blocking the program from doing what it's supposed to do. As opposed to this, I disabled my firewall and anti-virus (which is AVG, same one on XP that I did not have to disable) and done a clean install of the software although I get the same problem as 'file not found' then immediately crashes.

I've tried my best to troubleshoot this problem in the greatest of my abilities but if the fault lies obvious please forgive me as I really do not want to waste your time.

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Cry17Q:I get an error msg "file not found" every time i try to launch a game why?
A:Your Antivirus / Firewall / UAC / or Windows Rights are preventing the tool for running correctly and create the files needed! Even worst those file may be deleted automatically or blocked by your AV software! Turn them all OFF and reinstall the launcher and run it as Administrator!

  • Is starcraft installed in the default directory on your comp? C drive/program files etc.

  • I have read the FAQ prior to my post and I have tried what it says on there. Disabling the firewall and anti-virus then doing a clean install and it still doesn't work. I've also done what it says on the opening post of this thread and given the program administrator access even though the computer that I am logged on is running as administrator.

And yes Starcraft 2 is saved in the default directory, same place on my XP computer that works.

Thanks for your responds so far guys.

  • @Blasphemy

what about UAC , did you turned off UAC before and after installing ALLin1 , i say this becuase i see this is the only difference between your XP and Vista .(AVGs are the same and this is not cache files problem)

however, certainly "file not found" means something blocked some files to install or something deleted some files affter install .

  • I think I have sourced the problem regarding this.

I moved the SC2 folder to the C drive (so outside the program folder) and it this way it lets me launch the game only after getting prompt that AI can not be installed properly and make sure I haven't delete any sub folders for the ai and that I should re-install everything in the default folders.

When I checked the ai folder is there correctly and when I move the whole SC2 beta folder inside the program folder so SC2allin can install in the default place I still get the file not found problem.

So the problem lies between keeping the sc2 folder in C drive and still keeping the ai to work properly. As when it launches the game and I am able to play it only plays very easy and ignores the difficulty set by the launcher.

I can't help thinking I've done something wrong when installing the official sc2 beta.

  • Hey guys,
I am having the issue where when I launch the game the fog of war covers the entire map and there are no units or bases visible.

A few people have had this problem but the solutions that were previously offered haven't worked for me. I know I have followed all directions 100%. Any help would be awesome. Thanks a lot.

  • Hi vernam7,

I followed every step with guide in "http://ghost301tech.wordpress.com/2010/05/16/play-starcraft-ii-beta-with-ai-offline-how-to/#comment-361".

The AllInOne launcher opens, it appears with full features(maps, gamesetting,...). When I double-click Launch, it loading. Then, it return launcher interface.

I have used lazylauch and I enter the game normally but AI very easy. So I want to more hard, I think AllInOne launcher interface is quite easy to configure but it didn't work.

    Can you help me?
    Sorry for my English.

  • i installed the "Allin1" launcher and it works great.
I installed an additional AI called "Green Tea" and it works great as well. However, the replay files the games produce do not work. I've attempted to start up the replay in many different ways.

I can watch other replays I made from before the phase 1 of beta closed.

    I've installed Starcraft2 under c:\program files\SC2Beta

    The "Allin1" tool installed under
    C:\Program Files\StarCraft II Beta\SC2ALLin1

thanks for your great work on this installer and making it integrate with various AI modules!

  • If you are still getting a "file not found" error even if UAC/anti-virus/firewall are off, then the problem lies with the folder privileges of your sc2 installation. For example, if you are running Vista and have sc2 installed in program files, that may be the problem. I re-installed in the C:\Users\Public\ folder and the problems went away. If you don't want to go to that extreme you may be able to fix it by changing some folder settings.

  • When I try to play I press start and it correctly loads the map however their are no units anywhere... Is this a problem with the launcher or my installed version? Sorry I tried to follow the install FAQ as close to it as I could and I don't think I missed anything but I'm still having this problem. Thanks for any help. (ALSO I will note I was not able to install the caches as the directories that were given are not on my PC. I am running W7 and I have no AppData)

  • where is the cache?
    1.click start
    2.click run
    3.write :C:\Users\your usename\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache

maybe appdata folder is not visible

  • @Tyler: the AppData folder is hidden...you can go to Control Panel>Folder Options and set hidden files to be visible...

@anh det: did you see the progress bar on the loading screen reach 100%...or did SC2 crash and give you an error report?

    Corporal

  • @Tyler, Having no units means the AI was not loaded or was incorrectly loaded.

@jimmyjraynor, As of patch 15, ALL replays do not work regardless if you use the launcher or not. This is not a launcher issue but instead, one with blizzard.

  • Hi Syryuu,

The progress bar on the loading screen reach 100%.But, it didn't enter the game. It returned launcher interface. It didn't release any error.

  • anh det, that's weird. SC2 surely would have an error report dialog pop up as soon as SC2 crashed. after it returned to the launcher interface, is "StarCraft ii.exe" still in the process list (in the Task Manager)? Did you notice any other windows or dialogs popup after that?

  • Hi Syryuu,

When SC2ALLin1 launcher returned its interface. "StarCraft ii.exe" isn't in the process list and it haven't an error report dialog. Windows haven't an error report, too.

  • Hi, thanks for making this neat app.

I had beta access and decided to try your launcher after the beta went on hiatus. But I have one slight issue. The camera seems zoomed in much farther than normal, and there's no way for me to pan the camera out further. Is there any way to fix it? Again, this is nothing major, just a small annoyance as I find myself seeing only a half of the things that are going on than back when I was playing on the stock version.
    Thanks for your time.
