now that i have a new webhosting tnx to the very helpfull "partner" FireLord i am thinking of uploading the official and not only maps in my new hosting and from a new in tool button you will automatically download and install the maps for you!
the maps will be show in a GRID system with a map preview and you can simple check the maps you want to install, and the tool will download and install them from my hosting automatically!
i will leave the "add maps from folder" sure, but i will replace the Bonus maps with this new button
because i would like to help users avoid install seperate unsupported maps do winzips and unrars, trying to install them manually and mess up the installetion!
tell me your opinion on that. is it worth it?
tnx

Regarding the system to download maps, I'm not a big fan of it. I can't see it being used often and you have the issue of having to ensure a diverse selection of maps apart from the official blizzard maps. Also, I also cannot imagine how uncompressing some maps to a directory might mess up the installation but if it is an issue, you could always add in a warning for unsupported maps and link them to nibbits to download tested and working maps to play.
There is no LAN support currently and if it does come out, it will NOT be hosted here on nibbits for the simple fact that it is illegal.
When the game comes out, I probably will buy it, but even so, LAN support to go with the game would be very welcome, I wouldnt mind using a launcher-like program for LAN support to go with the game itself.
It would be nice to get another observer slot. Sometimes I wanted to see some AI 1v1 on 2player map or 2v2 on 4 player map but that was impossible because there are not enough slots.
Could you for example add "observer mode" that would not use slots for game ?
To avoid ppl load more players than map can handle you could move "observer type" f make two options: 1 : normal game ( no observers, anyway only one human player can by observer) 2 : observer mode (where player is observer and all slots can be used for AI)
I's just an idea and I don't know if it would be easy (or possible) for you to implement.

xor sure you can lets say you want to se a 4vs4 in a 4 player map!
just set all slot to Computer and Launche! you will be made automatically a 5th player observer! ;-)

Such a simple way.... I wish I known it earlier :) But than it would be better if "observer" option from Player type list would be deleted. Thats what made me mistaken. And ofc somewhere a small note how to play as observer (or I missed it ?)
Vernam, can you make the maps folder to subs folder like replays :), since it make easier to organize melee map and custom maps ( many kinds of custom maps ).
To find a fault is easy; to do better may be difficult.

ok ptanhkhoa i was thinking of this to be done sometime, but now i think the time has come lots of custom folders in there indeed.
proposal accepted for been in the v10.5.0 to do list ;-)
Love the tool. Have purchased two copies of SC2 but still come back to using the launcher because it is just simpler.
I see someone already suggested sub-folders for maps, which takes away one of my requests. The other is for the launcher to remember the previous settings used for each map.
My kids love team play on larger maps with 8 players. Having to continually assign locations and teams has become "dad's job", but it would be great if they could just start up the launcher, select a map and launch with the previous settings already defaulted.
If recalling the previous map settings suggestion doesn't suit, a simpler alternative to aid in entering settings without having to change the interface layout would be to allow double-click on player 1's columns headers to toggle defaults for certain columns.
Eg.1 Double-clicking on the "Location" header could toggle between setting all Locations to Random and numbering sequentially from 1 to 8 (or however many are allowed for the map.
Eg.2 Double clicking on the Team column could alternate between ... (1) Number sequentially: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (2) Repeat each team once: 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 (3) Repeat 3 times (if 6 player map): 1 1 1 2 2 2 (4) Repeat 4 times (if 8 player): 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2

That would be great. I just counted out of curiosity, and it takes 45 mouse-clicks to launch a 8 player map if you set to 4x2 teams (which means setting locations) and change the difficulty.
And that was done using the scroll wheel (which I did not count) and does not include selecting the map in the first place.
(Another header double-click suggestion: Double-Click on any "Difficulty" header can set all other player difficulties to the same as the one chosen.)
ok some suggestion are ok, but some are what you think will help you! we cant do that! launcher per person :P
anyway the number of clicks needed to setup a game 8p its indeed a lot because we provide lots of opions! we could do the blizzard way (20clicks) and give you almost no options :P
the header double click idea its a very nice idea, but needs to be work totally different from header to header....and that will take sometime for people to find out....
we will see
p.s constant 2blclicks its out o the question, they cant be done and its too confusing.

add support for more than 8 players pretty please!
It looks like I can specify 16 player starts in the map editor, and I really like games of epic scale. :)
btw the tool is wonderful

Vernam. Can you add 2 bottons in launcher. "Crack Latest Map Editor" and "Restore Latest Map Editor"?
i could do that but not interesting right now
i am working on other stuff besides the v10, to stop some irritating mouths and ignorant guys here and there ;-)
in this patcher that i am trying to create i will put those buttons.
