  • Maybe I have been rather lucky, but I still believe that ranking should stay out of custom games, or it will be more or less a league game. Some might want to try new strats on a non ranked platform, but that will usually ensure more losses or a rank disproportionate to their actual skill level. I believe new strategies should be tried against players of any skill level if you want ensure it to be a viable strategy, it would be useless if it say, only worked on bronze league players and not silver league. Added to that, ranking custom games themselves would be an extremely hard task, seeing as many people play with their friends with completely improper gameplay styles and such, it would be close to impossible to correctly rank them correctly. Nothing stops you from using custom games to test out new strats and if you really wish to play against others of similar skill level, just use the leagues, I doubt a single loss or so will really affect your ranking in the long run.
