1. Beta maps may not be compatible with the retail game, as things such as rich minerals may be missing.
2. To test a custom map, from within the editor, "File" and then "Test Document". This should read, "Test Map".
3. The only way to actually play test a map results in a random race, no regard for team settings, no choice of race color, no choice of start location, no choice of AI. This is in a word pathetic of Blizzard. Also having to log online constantly is a waste of time and bandwdith.
4. The beta and vernam7 's launcher was far superior to the retail Starcraft 2 and as it now stands, there will unlikely be many custom maps until a work around is achieved to make up for this Blizzard software blunder.
In summary, Blizzard Starcraft 2 Galaxy Editor is trash software and it will be up to the community to add functionality to this FAILURE of a software product so that maps can be properly tested prior to release.
Custom maps ought to be easily loaded and playable with all the options - this is NOT what Blizzard have released. Whoever was in charge of this mess needs to be fired for releasing such trash.

Hi Vernam7, I'm having a discussion with someone about what AI is included in SCAllin1 v10.3.3. I say there is no AI included and your program uses official Blizzard AI (included in the game) and he said you use a custom AI (starcrack) by default. Could you settle this argument please?

StarCraft 2 Is Frying Graphics CardsBliizard has officially acknowledged that a StarCraft 2 bug might fry graphics cards.
The official Battle.Net support page explains that "screens that are light on detail may make your system overheat if cooling is overall insufficient. This is because the game has nothing to do so it is primarily just working on drawing the screen very quickly." The bug is caused by the fact that StarCraft 2 has no frame rate limit. Fortunately, such a limit can be imposed fairly easy by adding the following lines to Documents\StarCraft II\variables.txt file:
frameratecapglue=30 frameratecap=60
imho 60 is few maybe 90is best for those that have the system to handle it.

i have seen lots of maps for starcraft 2 and allmost all of that are w3 remake craps! sc1 had some serious nice maps, but our friend here learned the editor pretty fast and makes Quality maps, that you enjoy just watching them!

1. vernam7 may enter the above map, it is still VERY rough, only build 22, in the competition if he so wishes.
2. vernam7 has assisted and been credited with working with me, and others on two previous maps. vernam7 will also assist, on this map, so direct input.
3. I hereby "give" the map to vernam7 as a gift. Heck, how many of us here would NOT be playing StarCraft II were it not for the extremely generous time and support vernam7 has given over many months to so many!
4. I will continue to develop the map as per normal. It isn't specifically for the competition but map 5 of the roadmap of maps. It will be completed in time for the competition.
5. So this is what I request, that vernam7 be allowed to enter map 5, Aliens Binary Mothership, which he will contribute to, as per his former position as Map Quality Assurance Team. I also give the map to vernam7 as a gift for his generosity.
I hope the above is clear. If anyone has any objection please raise such now. Alternatively if you want to wish vernam7 well with his entry, then that is welcomed too! ;) lol
REMEMBER FOLKS - there are NO Charlemagne maps without the vernam7 launcher!!!

Is there a way to change UI hotkeys? I was able to change units/buildings keys from the textile inside hk, but I did not see any way to change grouping keys for example.
