50k High Yield Maps

  • There definitely needs to be more of them. They're really fun when you want a break from traditional maps with limited resources. If anyone could make some more maps like this, that would be awesome.

  • How many players do you want on the maps, or would you like an assorted variety of maps with different amounts of players?

  • 6-8 if possible. The only problem with that though is that the only "6 player map" I've seen was actually a 4 player map with myself and 5 computers. The result was computers 4, 5, and 6 all started out in the bottom right, same base, all stacked on top of each other. This of course made it so I was only against 2 decent computers while the other one was so far behind because of the way it started that it wasn't even a challenge.

    SO... 6-8 if there are any maps that can/can be created to support that many. Otherwise, just 4.

    Thank you for taking this up, by the way. I would try to do it myself, but I really don't know how to, nor do I have any experience in creating/editing maps.

  • The 6 Map of metropolis worked decently for awhile, it placed 2 more Ai at other expansions, but unlike the 4 mains, these two had many openings which made them vulnerable and die quickly.

    This defeated the point of a 6 player map, but considering the current maps and their sizes, anything more seems unlikely to work.

  • Unfortunately, I have yet to see any maps that can actually support 6+ players, so unless some are created from scratch, we will have to make due with the 4 player maps.

  • Lost Temple is my favorite map. A 50k high yield version of it would be pretty fun.

  • lol i'm trying guys. writing a program to automate modifying the objects in the map, but I am having trouble at the moment getting a c++ compiler that will compile on my system. for some reason the compilers i have tried so far do not like windows 7 64-bit.

  • There has to be expansions with high yield minerals.
    One map I tried just had it at the main, and it wasn't very exciting since the risks of taking expansions wasn't there

  • Nick MS has the vs.net home use ones for free at msdn. not sure the exact link just go to msdn and its easy to find. it works on win7 64
