grantz for a great map zip lock, i really enjoyed playing it. but i had the same problem as nada, i placed all my marines next to a ball building thing on the right side of the base, and the ai from the left side went straight to the landing point and stayed there, so after i was done with all the waves i killed those one by one :( and one more thing, you can still control the reapers when the bottom command buttons (1,2) fade out. the terrain was sweet, keep up the good work :]

  • Well made map.. I had fun playing, even though I don't do so well due to poor micro skills.. Maybe in the future you can make an ezmode for the less skilled? Until then I'm just gonna practice ;)

  • param value etc is because of a version conflict (i.e. enUS vs enGB). since im totally newb i don't know how, but as far as i know you can set localizations for different versions..

  • the ai rushes from the left side doesn't go for the mining point, rather to the spawn point for reinforcements. I hold a smaller choke inside the base, and its a bit problematic/annoying to drag the leftside ai towards me by sniping each rush.

Could you fix the pathing/ trigger for this?
    Thanks.

That is strange, I just redid it and it launched fine...

Where were you standing, and did you wait until the "nuke is ready" audio part? (shortly after the nuke button appears).

  • Great map, hard, but still great. If you can, it'd be cool if you let players build bunkers and maybe a little extra time in between rushes. 5/5 stars

Bug: You need something to better indicate that Cpt. Damain is actually being cloaked other than just the dimming of the "cloak" button. And when he moves, he shoots which gives out his position to a swarm of zerglings and ultralisks...

  • If you select the Commander by himself there are no command buttons at all, I was unable to attack-move him unless I was also selecting marines. Ghosts were also missing an attack button. Overall pretty good but needs a lot more polish.

Remember to add buttons when you create new units or add abilities to units with the Command Card from the unit data window or else we're unable to use them as we want manually.

  • hey, cool map. I think it would be a help if you simplified it by getting rid of the typing commands bit and instead get units some other way.

  • Liked it but 1 bug I found was that the zerg didn't attack the planetary fortress :P

Also, the part when you were supposed to use the ghost at the infested terran base to the east was pretty messed up thanks to worthless camera angles, would be more fun with normal angle there tbh :)

    keep it up!

Thanks for the good comments guys!

The problems you pointed out so far (param value and waves not coming) are a bit confusing to me because some users are able to play it just fine (as can I).

As far as the 3rd person camera and control of the army goes. I have a new trick up my sleeve in Chapter 1 to make it a lot easier to handle :)

    Keep the comments coming folks!

  • major problem is that i cant read any text, it just says param value bla bla bla... and also, its pretty retarded with the angle and the ghost when u find the zergbase with the reapers, make it so u can stop having a retarded camera angle please :D cool project!

  • What happens after the massive rushes? After baneling+ultralisk the enemy stopped coming :/

Is there any way to get gas? Btw the enemy does not attack the commandcenter >.< so its pretty ez to just let the right wave go there and wait, then finish it off with snipe hehe

Is there any way to make the "param value" go away and get regular text insteaD?

  • @Spartan: to get more units, simply type in "buy <unit>" as if you were talking to another player, <unit> being marine/ghost/reaper, default key for talking is ENTER.

    *SPOILER*
As Zip mentioned, triggers are not optimal, if you choose to backtrack alittle after getting past the ultralisk ambush, the trigger in which your cloaking fails will re-trigger, causing you to get stranded between the banelings and the ultralisks, leading to almost certain death.

  • ohhhhh.... i see... I guess i deserve it for not reading unit abilities properly. Your're right, it does get more fun as you go along, loved that you managed to combine both a 3rd person shooter while controlling an army, but it does get alittle disorientating at times. Also, when controlling the reapers but moving the ghost, the A and S keys have their own functions for the reapers, which screw up whatever they are doing.

You didn't mention how you tried to kill them, but if you use snipers, they are pretty easy to take down, *cough* snipe *cough* :)

And wait until you get to later in the map. To me its the more fun part !

  • I found it a pretty fun map, only abit too hard due to my bad micro skills. I couldnt get past the 2nd ultralisk rush without getting my entire army decimated and the baneling announcement mid rush interupts the fight, caused me to lose quite afew men.
