These ancient alien lakes have been a battleground for a thousand centuries. The abunance of gold and gas has made it a hinge point for countless advanced armies. Beautiful but deadly. Don't be distracted by the eye candy. Watch for the extra choke points and ramps to defend naturals. After we all have fallen the gold will still glow and the waters will still flow for a thousand centuries more.
