You lose when there are too many mobs on the circle (100 x player). You win if you survive all waves (40).

Brief Intro -
Red Circle is an interesting twist on the concept of a standard tower defense (aka: TD), where the goal is not to prevent units from reaching a particular point, or stopping them b...
80% is fine, lots of ways to go about completing it.
one is the 4 basic tower with 2 anti air until you get the towers to about lvl 5 then you might add a splash cannon
the other method is going 1 cannon right away, with a Basic tower as support further down on the field
the splash cannon is your primary killing machine..
IMHO though... splash cannon don't do the amount of damage they should for the price you get for them, it's much more efficient to go with a couple more Basic towers or have 2 fire towers.
This is especially true in the higher difficulties when every mineral counts.
It also comes down to trial and error, and whether or not you'll be getting additional income as a result of some flooding from other players.
So your best bet is to use 1 or at most 2 splash cannons in the beginning say 20 waves supported by 2-3 basic towers
to kill the ultralisks you're going to need a minimum of 3 basic towers with at least level 7, you might be okay with level 6, but the higher the better.
word of caution though, you don't want to build that second cannon tower unless you've like a level 6 one already or if you're getting funded by a dropped player or insane leaks.

2nd, I am on 80% trying to beat it on single player and I keep getting stomped by ultralisks. I dont use the nukes and you say its possible to beat it without them. Any tips on a good tower combo to help get me over the hump.
tested the map and it works fine on singleplayer, reading the forums there is a new global desync problem with customs maps on bnet, but they also found a way of fixing it, i cant test it atm coz EU bnet servers are down but it should be fixed now.
@marindo i did 100% without using a nuke.. looks like u are using a wrong combination of towers. the map is easy if i make it more easy then it will become boring... looking your build... 3 splash? thats too mush splash, splash are too weak against bosses..

Since today's patch, the map which is available on BNet seems to boot everyone from the game right before Wave 5. The game says "You were dropped!" and then you are forced to an Error score screen. This happens with all versions of the map.
The towers do so little damage and in the later levels the monsters all have ridiculous amounts of hp.
the dmg from each of the towers tops off at about 2-3000 in about the middle stages at level 7 and the enemies hp is like in the 50000 + range.
in the round with the ultralisks, they have about 80,000 hp and even with 2 lvl 6 basic towers which do bonus damage on heros. AND an assorted amount support towers, i can only get them down to about half.
it just feels like this map needs nerf the HP on the monsters a bit.
it comes down to building more turrets and upgrading but you don't have enough money. =="
and if it goes multiplayer you'll have to hope that your team mates leak lots to get more income.

i tested the map by well...testing the map. i think the command is ctrl+9 or something?

i dont understand this.. towers does not cost gas.. gas is only used for nukes, and its more like limiting the number of nukes by time.. and i have received many positive comments about this, this is the fisrt one negative.

The Aura towers are pleasing to see, as well as the projectiles of Splash being fixed so they properly hit the target. Because it sometimes froze when the enemy died before it hit.
I managed to beat 100% alone for once, it was fun.
Just finished it at 120% - took me several tried to do so. In my opinion boss level are extremely hard, could only survive by using a nuke - otherwise no chance. ;)
I forgot to say, that I love the new box that tells you which wave is next and such.
Regarding the bonus damage I have to say, that from my experience it does not really change much. I still didn't use many available towers in order to win.

yeah... i was using the wrong combo of towers that's why i was getting owned XD
on a serious-ish note though there is a little problem.
on the AA towers, it says the upgrade cost is 800 but it will only sell it to you for 900.
That's the only thing that has a problem at the moment =]

Great review by Yucie. I should point out that this isn't necessarily original, as it's based on Circle TD from WarCraft 3. Either way, great map.
