Let's rant about everything we hate (but provide a reason why you dislike it).
The map hosting situation is complete crap in my opinion. The fact that not only do they not allow you to play maps which are not published, but there's a limit of 5 maps per account AND no one's ever going to join a game that's not listed in the top 20 most popular maps.
1)the UI not so cool not so User Friendly (lots of buttons to confuse you) the guy has no idea about PC ui he just was making Xbox live UI! console <> PC dude!
2)not yet chat channel / public private, and i want chat into a game lobby just after the game ends in the score screen so that we can comment on the game we had and not try to find other into the masses and comment as others will comment our game at the same time and there is a chaos of texts!
3)your game "friends" are seen your real name!(the excuse for that is that bounds people more are you crazy????who thought of this stupid idea!? anyway! i meet a thousand of people online and some of those randomly because we had fun in few games they are my game "friends" not my RL friends morons why should they know my real name!!!! THIS IS PRIVATE DATA BLIZZARD if i want i will tell them my real name NOT YOU!)
4)sure the amazing custom map sharing! OMG! Mike M. is this how your "bosses never interfear" with the way Blizzard works? yea right! Activision will be your doom guys WAKE UP! fast money incomes will not help you survive! you must see further from your noses! to the future! Custom Map sharing is a disaster! i cant even play-test the map i am working on if i haven't publish it then wait to be popular? wtf? Just bring the OLD SC1 map sharing system Back or this game will not last 12years, hell will not last a single month after the Trilogy Ends.and thanks for giving my Launcher a new meaning of existence! LOL
5)the way i am adding friends! without chats i cant find my friends and their uniqe ID is hidden and not easy to be located and then given to you (through irc or msn or email)
6)not cross region able! just sad! you turned StarCraft II into an MMORTS! you should be ashamed! this is at least stealing! you promised us an RTS and we cant play a shit without an online connection, and besides that you are telling me not to have friends across my continent, or i should have 3-5copies bought for each region (learn 5-7 languages more) and play one time with some asian friends, the other with some europian friends and the other with some usa friends!!!! not all together at the same time!?? WTF? 12years ago your software WAS million times better!
dear Blizzard Ent, there is no battle.net 2.0 lets be realistic, if someone just reverse and examines your installations files and your game files, everything is pointing to your WOW servers! you didnt build nothing from 0 you just covered some areas with some SC2 logos and UI, and the entire backbone its WOW thats why you have turned this game to an MMORTS! that is pathetic! you build sc2 to play on your wow servers based on an mmorpg philosophy you didnt build a new network (or upgrade your network) to support the new functionalities of sc2 as RTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there are my 6 points and i am sure i would find more and more if i just play more online games. i loved how S.Korea scrude your sails! i just love it! you build an entire game and you build it around those guys (because they were the best inyo) and now without LAN look how they reword you!
damn you Blizzard damn you, i loved you so damn much i even bought every single game of your more than 2 times!!!! i was talking to everyone how glorious company you are thinking the end-users and not becoming like EA money leaches, i always wanted to perfect my skills and join you like many many people around the glob, but now this so perfect image of your Company is collapsing! i cant make something i dont like how the hell can you obey your buyers money and not your fans money! after all WE made you WHO YOU ARE TODAY!!!! not Activizion!!!! >:(
still there is a small hope inside us all that i dont want to die, that you can turn this things around with few patches and some hard work.

Would like a way to watch high level matches, I'm sure they could find a way to broadcast live streams thru bnet 2.crapola to avoid lagging the game with a few thousand observers.. Youtube shouldn't be the only place to see these matches with any sort of commentary.
Some chat would be nice..
News and teasers from the sequels would be cool to have under some section of the GUI.

You can actually find a game now..
Matchmaking system not as terrible as I expected, but still a little screwy which I think it will level out when the game has been out for a while longer.
The only thing that i hate is getting disconnected,i am not sure why that happens it is lagy most of the time to me and gets dc often waiting for server pops up and freezing, other than that i am happy with the game.See you guys around ;) 1 more thing i can add,i wish it was more universal and we were able to play with our friends from states or any other realm.
Edit: Radamant i think we had like 2 games together i just realized now. :)
I would add stopping game when observers got lag. It's already a bit annoying when your opponent lags , but stopping game just because observers that don't even influence game lags is ridiculus.
1. Region Lock WTF IS THIS? WHY IS THIS EVEN THERE? There are COUNTLESS games right now that DO NOT have Region Lock and are hell famous right now. Does Blizzard/Activision think this will increase sales because people would just go "Oh I need to buy another copy of the game! I'm gonna buy another one now!". All it did was create confusion and anger. Now I can't play with my friends too. The internet isn't new technology anyway! Also, StarCraft 1 had NO REGION LOCK!!! It's still one of the most epic and famous games EVER!!!
2. No LAN Some people might not really care about having no LAN. But I most certainly do. Lots of times I don't wanna go through the hassle of connecting to a internet game, getting higher lag because of it, or just can't connect to the internet at the place I am at. If I'm with my friends in a place with no internet connection or it is too slow, we would create our own wireless network and play LAN together. Killing Floor, TF2, Battlefield 2142,Company of Heroes, DoW, CSS, Alien Swarm, WarCraft 3, StarCraft, etc. The exclusion of LAN has removed StarCraft 2 as a game we could play. I guess they just don't want pirates to play multiplayer with other pirates by using LAN programs, but the obvious answer is to simply make it a option only after in-game battle.net authentication!
3. No Chat Channel Just something I want, would be pretty nice. Why did they even remove this???
4. Map Installing/Publishing From what I've seen so far, through the editor and stuff, it appears that a person must publish their maps through the editor to be able to play with others and with the AI. Also, there is a 5 map limit and also a mb limit on map size??? WTF!!?!??! Like many things in StarCraft 2, things that worked VERY well in StarCraft 1 have been REMOVED?!?!? And to be able to play other people's maps, I MUST go download them through battle.net!?!?!? Also, if I publish a map, probably only a few people would even play it! Since people in custom games see the most famous ones first! Mine would be at the very bottom of the list!!!
It's a shame StarCraft 2 got delayed so much, then so many features removed. I was really pumped up for it and couldn't wait for the sequel to one of the best games ever. What appeared was a lousy and un-user-friendly game that is only saved by its nice gameplay and sub-par campaign.

I agree about spectator lag, completely ridiculous that a player can get lag because of those watching the game.. why can't it just let them lag while allowing the game to move along, and when the laggers' bandwidth is acceptable again, just catch them back up to current game time?
With the title Battle.net 2.0, I was expecting an improvement with the system, not a downgrade. I was expecting custom clan tags, clan chat rooms, possibly even Real ID or Cross-game chat rooms. (Its just text, and everyone is connected through Battle.net.) The ugly truth is that Battle.net 2.0 is a joke.
I HATE the fact that there are no chat rooms, the custom game system is just awful: there are many games that are great, but no one can play them because they're not on the Popular list!
Not only that, but there is no way to regulate who you'll play a specific game with. You can't title it "pros or noobs only." It's irritating when you're an expert at a game and you constantly have to steam roll noobs in a matter of minutes, or vice versa.
Also, the fact that you can't play on a LAN enfuriates me. I'm going to have to fork out another $60 for a Guest account for friends that come over and want to try the game.
Come on Blizzard, we all know that you are rolling around in money from World of Warcraft, so stop trying to take more from us, and use some of it to make a worthy Battle.net UI!
From the sounds of it it's typical modern development.
"Back in the day" with SC1 it was about the game, how fun it was the kind of things you could pull off, the types of amazing maps you could see or create.
Now.. now it's all going downhill. I saw it first when EA released the embarrassing monstrosity they had the gale to put a Command and Conquer name on, call it an RTS and then remove everything that has made an RTS an RTS for the past decade. How is it C&C when there's no bases, no resources (not to mention that every match had an uncontrollable 1 hour time limit) and no strategy?
SC2 is going the same way now, true it's gameplay is certainly still an RTS, it keeps a lot of the feel from SC1 and I love that. But this BNet crap is just destroying it and any enjoyment I may get out of anything short of a skirmish match now and then vs an AI to just fool around.
I thought it was dumb when Blizzard Region Locked WoW... hello numb skulls this is the internet it's WORLD WIDE. We have this amazing ability to contact, in real time, everyone in the entirety of the world but... naw... in some ill guided attempt to "save people from long distance connections causing lag" (or whatever business like excuse they made) we'll totally ruin the entire point of playing online! After all, it worked well for an MMORPG why shouldn't it work well for an RTS.
And as much satisfaction as it gets us to rant and rave and complain about things like the 5 map limit or the region locks they won't get it. No company ever does.
Blizzard is comfy on their mountain of cash made by WoW that they can get away with being total dickheads and morons with everything else. We could "talk with our wallet" and walk away, refuse to pay them for such inanely idiotic decision making but what are the odds that it would actually cause them to step back and radically alter the system?
Change for the better would require that they regain the passion they had when they made the older WC and SC games, rather then the singular lust for "the next WoW".

I think it would be cool if you could click on someone's name in your buddy list and observe their game at any time without lagging them. Then the 1v1 ladder wouldn't feel so lonely if I could observe my friends ladder matches, even if I was blocked from talking to them. Also it would be nice to invite people to watch replays with me. I also really agree with footman2k, bnet really needs to add some kind of in game video library. Or stream support so we can watch pro matches inside starcraft2. Also this is not an issue for me, but bnet needs to increase the block list limit way past 100 people so that the pro streams i watch don't get spammed to death by the hordes of fans that message the pro players. Also the broadcast a message to the friends on your buddy list feature is kind of stupid to me. In my opinion the bnet profile screen should save those so you can see them from the past for a year or something. It would be nice if those profiles on bnet were more interesting and more personalized. Also I really wish blizzard would officially implement something so players can change the menu backgrounds to anything they want. That is definitely something the community really wants and it has alot of potential for people who stream or are casters.
I hate Blizzard, I luv sc2.... such an irony. If there would crack b.net 2.0.....how they did with WoW.... Blizzard wanted as many users as it could be... and they had..... so many that b.net is laggggiiiingggg, or so I heart. And not even lan.... so, in my opinion b.net 2.0 sux
I really dislike the Playable Map situation. I think a setup such as in Warcraft 2 B.Net Edition would benefit this game.
Allowing users to choose what THEY want to host, along with showing the amount of users in the lobby would help to circulate a greater variaty of maps.
I think that b.net 1 of starcraft:broodwar iz da best:D you could do whatever you want in your lobby. usually an update is benefit... but in this case is an exception

i`m preety damn sure this will turn into a World of Starcraft...-_-

i wish people wouldn`t suck up with it and actually file complaints to them and take some action...
and i mean massive...even stopping to play...
